Hi Devi,

You said you use AIM? As in AIM Barley Green or some of their other product's?

I use Barley Green and love it and feel like it really help's me,as in relation

to hypothyroidism,that, I have'nt a clue.On this group and on Natural Thyroid

Hormone Group, you will be amazed at how much and how fast you will learn about

this diseaseAND most importantly, how to take care of it.

I am 16 and have Hypothyroidism..I was diagnosed with thyroid disease

when I just about turned 16, and I didnt even know what was going

on..all I knew was that I was losing my hair, gaining weight,

becoming depressed all too often, and my skin was VERY dry. I feel

pretty alone, since it's not something I want to brag to everyone

about, but at the same time they will never know what I go through. I

just wanted to post to become familiar with some members, and to talk

about this disease so I can become more familiar with what I' dealing

with here..thanks. Also, I use AIM, not sure if anyone uses that, my

SN hyperbowly..IM me if you have information or would like to share

some insight.thanks.

Hi Devi & Welcome! You're more than welcome to IM me. It will ALWAYS show that

I'm online because we have a high speed internet connection...so, of course,

we're always connected and online. If I'm at my desk, I'll IM you back.

I think it's great you're here and trying to learn more about this disease; that

will help in so many way. You will learn so much, and you'll feel less alone.

How are you at this point? Do you feel any better? How has this disease affected

you academically?

Take care! Sheila

Welcome D,

a good source of info is thyroid.about.com. Shomon's book is also

great - lots of info in laymen's terms.

Hi,

I am no longer a teenager, but the disease started in my teens, when

I was 18.
