Guest guest
the dose is too low, even at 60mg. Let doc know what you need to feel well, you don't need to ask for permission to feel well. 30mg is way too low. Guest guest
I have did ok today with the dose of 60mg., but tow times I got a little light headed for about a second. Do you or anyone else think it was because of raising the dose too fast. It only been six days since I started on Armour. Bev Gracia <circe@...> wrote: the dose is too low, even at 60mg. Guest guest
In my opinion you should not raise the dose after just six days.Maybe after two to three weeks if you dont feel better the dose can be raised.Normally the doc will decide the dose after seeing the values of T4,T3 and TSH.It would seem that you are borderline hypo for your endo to have suggested such a low dose. Also, the medicine takes a lot of time in showing effects.Six days is too short a period to start expecting results. Guest guest
Dizziness or light headedness may suggest an overdose. Are you also experiencing a slight rapid heart rate? It would be advisable to let your doctor increase it when he/she advises. Work with your doctor. --- bev <bdowns45681@...> wrote: > I have did ok today with the dose of 60mg., but tow times I got a > little light headed for about a second. Yes, that is a real possibility, particularly if you still have substantial thyroid function. I suggest you read some of the recommended protocols for titrating your dosage. Guest guest
I used to get lightheaded too. I think I used to take Armour just once a day then. I then went on to take it 4 times a day and now 2 times a day. --- bev <bdowns45681@...> wrote: > I have did ok today with the dose of 60mg., but tow > times I got a little light headed for about a > second. Guest guest
Chuck, her TSH was extremely high (50?) That dose of Armour wouldn't keep a gnat alive. Gracia > bev wrote: > > ... Guest guest
Gracia, You wrote: > Chuck, her TSH was extremely high (50?) That dose of Armour wouldn't keep a > gnat alive. That info wasn't in the message to which I responded. That's why I suggested looking up the protocol. Starting with the doubled dose might well have been appropriate, as you suggest. TSH continues to climb as long as the Free hormone levels are inadequate. Thus, a TSH of 15, could reflect just as bad a set of symptoms as a TSH of 80. The 80 person simply suffered longer. Guest guest
60mg of Armour is too little. If anything she is underdosed but I think she needs adrenal hormones too. It's hard to " work with the doctor " when the doc doesn't know how to use the hormone. Gracia > Dizziness or light headedness may suggest an overdose.
