Guest guest
The point of the press release was increasing your coconut oil intake to 3-4 Tablespoons a day to fight off any flu or virus. what type are you talking about here in your comments? There's also essential oil or extract formula that kills viruses on the hands, through the ears, nose, etc. I use it all the time in public. Guest guest
West Nile is not transmitted from person to person like a flu is so I would worry about a flu more-so as it is potentially much more deadly when it comes to the amount of people that could die from it. West Nile is always a case-by-case illness and so far shows no potential to spread from person to person. I would also worry about your community spraying deadly toxins every week as this is will certainly become a big problem for those with weakened detox systems. You are right about the vaccine stuff, it is a waste of time, money, and effort to develop vaccines for one strain of a virus when there are thousands out there that are constantly mutating into forms that the vaccines will no longer work for, if in fact it ever did. Let's stick with the natural ways of killing pathogens and boosting our immunity to them. Ken -- Re: [ ] flu info from Bruce Fife N.D. long That's just scare tactics. If there's a flu pandemic it likely won't be from avian flu which hasn't jumped the species barrier into a human-contagious problem & likely won't. There's other types of flu that there aren't any vaccines or medicines to cure so far which could be more of a pandemic. And they aren't even addressing those. Just mostly their stupid, ungrounded scare tactics about avian flue which is hardly a threat, given only 65 or so people globally have gotten it & they've all been bird handlers in foreign countries. The other prior flu pandemics were NOT avian flu from birds. So why drag those into a fear-based article about avian flu which isn't a threat, is beyond me. I'd worry more about getting West Nile virus around where I live because of infected mosquitos. There've been several cases of in this area & they spray weekly for that. But avian flu is the least of my worries. It's like the anthrax scare in 2000 or so which never occured but they scared people to death with a vaccine for that too. It never happened. IMO, it's just stupid to be spending $billions$ of taxpayer's money on avian flu vaccine for people when they can't even make a vaccine from a people-related/avian flu since it hasn't become contagious in people yet & likely never will. Geez...there's tons of other viruses that they would have to co-equally make vaccines for that just avian vaccine wouldn't prevent. Why aren't they also making tons of vaccines for all the other strains of flu like Legionaire's Disease that occurs every years & kills many humans, West Nile Virus & scores of others, some unheard of as yet which could be far more lethal & pandemic. It doesn't matter, I won't get vaccines anymore. Last time I got a flu shot, I got the flu & so did a friend of mine. The best defense is a strong immune system, eating right w/coconut oil, garlic, etc), getting exercise & plenty of rest. There's also essential oil or extract formula that kills viruses on the hands, through the ears, nose, etc. I use it all the time in public. Especially before & after handling foods & being around people in grocery stores. Caroline
Guest guest
I got that about the coconut oil.. It's just that the first part of the article was the usual scare tactic stuff about creating vaccines for avian flu mostly. Dr. Fife didn't say yay or nay or about the vaccines, only the coconut oil, which is good. The formula for preventing/killing viruses that generally enter the body through the ears & nose/mouth was clinically/lab tested to prove it definitely does kill them. It's equal parts of these essential oils or extracts: Peppermint oil or extract Eucalyptus oil or extract Lemon or Orange oil or extract It's best to use it with a mask. Just spray or rub it onto the mask before going out anywhere. Or upon entering or exiting any stores while in your vehicle, rub a small amount of it into the palms of the hands, cup them together, put over nose & mouth & inhale deeply several times. Rub a bit around the ear orifices & nostrils too at the same times. I also wipe down the steering wheel radio & heater/AC gizmos & the turn signal handle with it. I keep mine in a small essential oil bottle in my purse or car & another one in the house before going out for walks. For West Nile Virus, use that & /or Bounce fabric softener sheet on the clothing which repels mosquitos & other bugs. Blessings, Caroline From: <jeannekrieg@...> > The point of the press release was increasing your coconut oil intake to > 3-4 Tablespoons a day to fight off any flu or virus. > > what type are you talking about here in your comments? Guest guest
That's true about W.Nile virus. The spraying for it around here is a major problem for me. They do it on Wednesday evenings, a good time to stay indoors & close all the windows. It contaminates the veggies I have growing in my backyard tho so I cannot eat them now. People have complained about the spraying but it's going on unabated. From: " Ken " West Nile is always a case-by-case illness and so far shows no potential to spread from person to person. Guest guest
Who is Bruce Fife? Just wondering before I take in this article. Thanks! Krista flu info from Bruce Fife N.D. long For those of you that think the avian flu is a hoax and for those of you that think otherwise here is some info from Bruce Fife on preparing for the flu season. NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release October 2005 : Bruce Fife Protect Yourself from the Flu According to experts, the threat of pandemic influenza is not a question of it, but rather a question of when. The possibility of pandemic flu-though always present-has received more attention in recent months because a dangerous strain of avian flu, known as H5N1, has emerged in Asia. The virus is causing worry worldwide because of the potential for it to mutate into a form that could spread easily from person to person. The avian strain has killed at least 65 people in Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam who had close contact with infected birds. There is no vaccine to protect against H5N1, and many countries-including the United States-do not have adequate supplies of a medication that has shown initial promise in slowing that virus. The federal government's own draft response plan says a medium-level flu pandemic could kill from 89,000 to 207,000 people nationwide. The World Health Organization said last week that there's no way to make a death prediction until a pandemic begins, but added that an estimate globally of up to 7.4 million is not unrealistic. The deadliest pandemic on record, which occurred in 1918, is thought to have killed more than a half-million in the United States and 50 million worldwide. The most recent, in 1968-69 caused 34,000 deaths in the United States. Pandemic viruses differ from traditional flu illnesses in that they are not merely subtypes of an existing virus. They are new strains that move quickly across the globe, sickening a large percentage of the population, which has no resistance to the illness. The worst-case scenario in a pandemic would be if there is no vaccine, a shortage of antiviral medications, and a particularly lethal strain. Last week the government made two moves aimed at preparing the country for an outbreak. The federal government's top health official announced drug-maker MedImmune will be working on a vaccine to stop avian flu viruses, and the U.S. Senate voted to give nearly $4 billion to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to prepare for avian flu. Leavitt, secretary of Health and Human Services, has said the country is " not as prepared as we need to be, " wants to stockpile enough vaccines to treat 20 million Americans; the current inventory is about 10 percent of that. Even if the government stockpiles enough vaccines to treat 20 million people that still leaves 280 million Americans without the possibility of getting treatment. That means that most of us must find alternative means to fight of the flu. Other than vaccinations, there are no medications currently available that are effective against the flu. Some natural remedies may be helpful. " The best natural defense we have against the flu is coconut, " says Dr. Bruce Fife author of Coconut Cures (Piccadilly Books, 2005) and Director of the U.S. based Coconut Research Center (www.coconutresearchcenter.org). " Coconut oil possesses powerful antiviral properties that can kill the flu virus, including avian flu, " Fife says. Coconut oil is composed of a special group of fats known as medium-chain triglycerides. Our bodies convert these fats into compounds that kill harmful viruses. " By consuming a couple of spoonfuls of coconut oil daily you can develop an immunity of sorts to the flu, " says Fife. According to Fife, coconut oil also helps boost the immune system enabling the body to fight off infections more efficiently. Fife recommends that the oil be used in everyday cooking. In recipes that call for vegetable oil, butter, margarine, or shortening use coconut oil instead. You can also take it by the spoonful like a dietary supplement. Fife says, " I take coconut oil by the spoonful each day and haven't had a single cold or the flu in years. " Fife recommends taking 2-4 tablespoons daily in divided doses as protection against the flu and other seasonal illnesses.
