Guest guest
Hi Bee, I need your help. I got a cold recently and it's gone to my chest. I'm wheezing and hacking up mucus (sorry to be graphic). My nose is very stuffed and uncomfortable. I'd usually drink lots of hot tea and sit in a steamy room but it's been 100 degrees in this area and I'm already hot and miserable. I've been doing garlic snizzles but can't seem to shake this chest cold. Any advice? I didn't see anything in the files... hope I didn't miss anything. Also, since I've been on the diet my facial acne has cleared up for the first time since I was a teenager. However I am still getting a lot of white bumps (like acne) all over my arms. I'm told this is called keratosis pilaris and is blocked hair follicles. I'm told exfoliation works well for this but it hasn't seemed to help me much. I have also heard that vitamins help with this but I wasn't told what kind. Thanks for any advice you have. I got bad chest mucus after my visit to my parents, but it cleared up nicely drinking garlic tea, which has lemon but I also added ginger to it. Years ago I cured pnemonia drinking it for 3 days (4 cups per day), after two different kinds of antibiotics and weeks of suffering. ==>Debby here's some other ideas: -rub your chest with Vicks or Mentholatum or 1 tbls coconut oil with 5 drops of oil of oregano or clove oil. I wore old t-shirts so my good clothes wouldn't get stained. -I put H202 on a bandaid and taped it to my chest on each side just above the breasts. -Take extra niacin to increase oxygen levels in the blood. -Up your vitamin C - take 4,000 mg immediately and at least 1,000 mg every hour or do the Vitamin C flush. -Also do sodium ascorbate (ascorbic acid cystals & baking soda - see Vitamin C Folder) snizzles - putting it in your nose increases absorption 1,000 times! -Go on a liquid diet for 3 days or so, i.e. bone broths, soup, egg drink, electrolyte drink, teas, etc. -Ensure you're getting enough ocean sea salt for the minerals, minimum of 1-1/2 tsp per day, and you could also increase it. -It's hot so you can take cool epsom salt baths to get more magnesium into your body. -To cool down put your feet in cool epsom salts water, and also put it in a spritzer to spray on your arms, face and legs. > > Also, since I've been on the diet my facial acne has cleared up for the first time since I was a teenager. ==>That's excellent your acne cleared up Debby!! How wonderful is that? > > However I am still getting a lot of white bumps (like acne) all over my arms. I'm told this is called keratosis pilaris and is blocked hair follicles. Try washing your arms with a mixture of epsom salts, sodium ascorbate, ocean sea salt & water; make up a quart with 2 tsp sodium ascorbate, 2 tablespoons epsom salts and 1 tbl ocean sea salt. Do not rinse it off. Or make an exfoliant with the same goodies, without the water. Any detoxing treatments will help too, i.e. dry skin brushing, epsom or H202 baths, electrolyte drink, coffee enema, etc., along with plenty of good fats & oil soluble vitamins. Please let me know what helps you most. Luv, Bee
Guest guest
Hi Debbie, I've always heard that those annoying arm bumps (especially those on the back of the upper arm) are a sign of 'allergic reaction' - which I interpret loosely as any sort of sensitivity. I get them pretty bad when I'm either eating stuff I shouldn't or even sometimes when exposed to chemicals etc. For me, they go away when I'm eating scrupulously on the 'Bee Diet'. Exfoliating helps but they do seem to just come back if I don't stay on the program. Just my experience! Janine
Guest guest
Thanks for the info. However I've been on Bees diet for 9 months straight now (and longer before that on low carb) and while my facial acne is gone my white bumps haven't budged. How long have you been on the diet? Guest guest
Bee, this is an old message but I finally wanted to follow up. I've been lazy responding to emails. --- Bee Wilder <beeisbuzzing2003@...> wrote: > -Up your vitamin C - take 4,000 mg immediately and > at least 1,000 mg > every hour or do the Vitamin C flush. I did do the snizzles and they help but I find them quite uncomfortable so I tend to procrastinate doing them. What I ended up doing out of all your suggestions was the vitamin C. I took 2 grams every chance I got. When I took the vitamin C I noticed an improvement, and when I would forget I would decline. I had to consistently remember to take at least 4 grams a day or I would decline. So after almost a week of slacking off on taking the Vitamin C regularly I buckled down and kept some in my purse in the front pocket where I would remember. Once I took it regularly I started getting better. It took a long time but I did get better. Now I have a cold again but I know to take my vitamin C again and it will help. But it's not in my chest, yet anyway. I also had to avoid blowing cold air in my face, even when it was hot. So no AC, no fans, etc. for a week. My face is always hot so that was hard. > > However I am still getting a lot of white bumps > (like acne) all > over my arms. I have noticed an improvement in the white bumps using a fine white scouring pad (like a buff puff but bigger) and the usual tea tree oil and castille soap I usually use to shower with. If I don't use the buff puff daily they come back so I've tried to make it part of my usual morning routine. It's good to know that you cannot handle cold air blowing on your face too. You might find it cooling to spray- mist plain water or even water with some H202 on your face, or even vinegar & water. > > > > However I am still getting a lot of white bumps > > (like acne) all > > over my arms. You are very observant and it great to get information from you on what works and what doesn't. Thanks for being part of my group! You are a real jewel! It's been actually quite cool here for august so it's a bit of a moot point, but thanks for the tip. I have a slight cold again but nothing like the last one that lingered forever. I look forward to hopefully not having colds anymore like you. > ==>Thanks so much for the update Debby.
