These often use calcium carbonate as a filler or binder, and the calcium will definitely interfere with absorption. Wait at least an hour. Guest guest
Thanks Tina. This is a great site, but I am not sure if it addresses this possibility at all. Let me know if you found a specific reference to thyroid med or levels that I am overlooking. -- In hypothyroidism , tina8386@a... wrote: > http://www.mayoclinic.com/invoke.cfm?objectid=E7735D34-55C5-48FE- AF2923C77E5592D6 > > > > Hi All, > > > > Last week I posted when I was really on a low. Guest guest
I haven't seen anything concrete on the web - however, I'm pretty sure I remember in the book " Thyroid for Dummies " there was quite a nice list of drugs, including antibiotics, that may disrupt absorption. The book is in most libraries. Vancouver > Hi All, > > Last week I posted when I was really on a low. For some reason my > levels took a nose dive and all symptoms followed. Guest guest
Only thing that I found was not to mix the antibotics with calcium and that combo would interfere with absorption of thyroid meds. Thank you for telling us about this book, tina > > Hi All, > > > > Last week I posted when I was really on a low. For some reason my > > levels took a nose dive and all symptoms followed.
