Guest guest
Sherry.. I have Hashimotos HypT also…and have all of the same problems as you do. My restless leg syndrome..I thought I inherited as a family trait…since several in my family have it. I have the insomnia…and then on other days I can’t seem to keep my eyes open. I have noticed a big difference since I got off of Synthroid and got on Armour Thyroid. My heart palpitations have gone away too. I would lay in bed at night and my mind would travel so fast, it just wore me out..but I couldn’t go to sleep! I was also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, which my doc said could be part of my restless leg syndrome. I also started using the Progestecare(sp?) and Adrenal/Spleen drops…which has all but alleviated my hot flashes and down days. Which thyroid meds are you on? Thanks.. Q for the girls I can't figure out if this is a thyroid thing or hormonal. I'm 39 with hashimotos hypothyroid. Occassionally I get bouts of insomnia, simply wide awake with restless leg syndrom and hot flashes. This is all in the pm only. I have no hyper symptoms what so ever, low pulse and bp, and temp was 97.6 normal (which is high for me). Is this some other hormonal phenomina, or can it still be hypo related? Just wondering if I need to add something else to the mix - estrogen, progesterone, or?? I highly doubt I am hyper for several reasons I will spare you. Guest guest
Hi , You do fit my profile exactly. The restless leg thing is so annoying. It took forever and lots of research to link the two but I am certain it is thyroid related. Thr racing mind, that is the exact same insomnia. I am on synthroid and cytomel. I agree the synthroid alone doesn't do it. But cytomel works wonders. I would love to try armour but would have to find a new doctor again, and I was down to the last reputable one that could see me this year when I found my current endo. So without extreme persistent symptoms I am reluctant to let go of my endo just yet. He will absolutely not prescribe Armour. Yesterday I felt warm all day. I even broke a modest sweat at the gym, something I never do without hitting the sauna. But I wasn't running a temp. I used a very weak progesterone cream yesterday. So far so good today. BTW - do you get strange hard bumps on your scale? At first you might think these are blimishes, but they aren't. They are more the size of small mesquito bits or deep large blemishes. But I know it's not acne. It's again another strange phenemonia that comes in cycles. Sherry > Sherry.. > I have Hashimotos HypT also…and have all of the same problems as you do. Guest guest
No, they are definately not blemishes or scars. It sounds like you haven't experienced them. They eventually go away, it's only one in one area and they are not clustered butwill have several at a time - one on neck, one in the front scalp, one in the back etc. Thanks for trying Sherry > > Sherry.. > > I have Hashimotos HypT also.and have all of the same problems as > you do.
