Guest guest
Una, I also am so sorry you've been so frustrated. But am I not correct in remembering that you started taking the Armour just recently? Were you taking a T4 before that? Have you had lab tests? I myself have been impatient, wanting to feel results in as short a time as possible. But have you given this a really fair try? If you really need supplementation, I am concerned that you're simply quitting taking it entirely... Guest guest
No it's not the Armour " doing this " . Sounds like you have got to have cortisol (cortef). Iso cort eill be too lite but may help some. Gracia > Have taken on board everyone's advice on taking Armour as I do and > have decided to quit taking it as it make's me feel worse. Guest guest
Hi Una, Before you give up, here's one last point to consider -'s protocol. Have you tried this, do you know what it is? As you may, or may not know, Armour and all other T4 drugs will make you worse if conversion is your problem. If you are hypo, and T4 drugs make you worse especially at increasing doses, you need to give this protocol a try. Guest guest
Actually Armour is not a T4 only drug. Armour contains T4, T3, T2, T1, T0, T7, calcitonen. Most people take Armour to get T3. I personally don't believe in 's protocol. In order to get T3 and other hormones into tissues, cortisol is needed. Most docs simply ignore adrenals. When someone feels worse or sees no improvement at all on thyroid meds, they need adrenal help. When adrenals are barely functioning, the addition of T3 will reveal this. Guest guest
Una, how did you make you feel worse exacty? Just curious, not gonna try to convince you otherwise. Guest guest
It is a good idea - although if she has adrenal problems, that will be the worst of all possible protocols. But bottomline: don't give up. Worse case scenario they have a thyroid hormone intolerance group here in .
