Guest guest
ok (ranges in parenthesis) triiodothyronine Free 3.2 (2.3-4.2) ft4 Free thyroxine 0.9 (.8-1.8) TSH (3rd generation) 5.6 (.35-5.0) anti-thyroglobulin AB 344 (<40) antithyroid peroxidase 528 (<35) just called careoregon and they refused to lsit specialists for me. called internal dr and he refused without an appt so i go thursday which is stupid since he doesnt know the ranges. I argued with the nurse about the new range and she was like NO ours is 5.5 and they prob measure it differently at different labs so i cut off her arguing and was like well whatever anyway my anti's are high. Hard to argue when both parties think they are right. ill make a copy of that aase or whatever it is nad take that in thursday also. its all pretty pointless since no endo is taking patients which is why i called my insurance to see if any opened up which the pain in the butt refused tot ell me but its my darned insurance!) Guest guest
I would say that it does. You have a high TSH in the diagnostic range and you have high antibody levels. Guest guest
from my own daughters lab results any anti-body number over a 2 for peroxidase and a 4 for thyrogloublin indicates hashi's or the beginings of auto-immune. And what this means to your idiot doctors is that your antibodies are attacking your thyroid. Also a tsh should be between 1 and 2 not up to 5 ( that is the very old numbers) and yours is over 5---according to these numbers you do have hashimoto's thyroid---and what that means is you must do whatever it takes to increase your immune system and the only way to do that is with the proper food, nutrients and sleep!!!! > ok (ranges in parenthesis) > > > triiodothyronine Free 3.2 (2.3-4.2) > ft4 Free thyroxine 0.9 (.8-1.8) > TSH (3rd generation) 5.6 (.35-5.0) > anti-thyroglobulin AB 344 (<40) > antithyroid peroxidase 528 (<35) > > > just called careoregon and they refused to lsit specialists for me. called > internal dr and he refused without an appt so i go thursday which is stupid > since he doesnt know the ranges. Guest guest
no, your thyroid is NOT normal!!! You have Hashimoto's disease according to lab results. Wonder if you also have celiac disease. Hashi's is an autoimmune disease. if you have one autoimmune disease, your are much more likely to develop another. take care..leaving for vacation in a few hours. gotta run. we will have laptop with us & will keep up while on vacation...talk to you maybe tomorrow night. hugs, sheila Girlie <kckim@...> wrote: Here is the results of my blood tests! i wish i had an endo cuz i have no idea what this means!! triiodothyronine Free 3.2 ft4 Free thyroxine 0.9 TSH (3rd generation) 5.6 anti-thyroglobulin AB 344 antithyroid peroxidase 528 I thought there would be a yes or no or neg or positive... can you guys help me out.. ill look through the internet.. you guys are my dr's im sorry.. but my insurance wont cover and endo and my intern says my thyroid is normal but i dont think it is
Guest guest
Once on meds, all of us feel better with an undetectable TSH, definately under 1, so most of us don't do the TSH. Guest guest
I agree but the tsh is about the only thing most doctors will test before meds are prescribed--and anything over 3 should not be disguarded as non-thyroid. Gee most people feel sick over 2. We have all said this many times over that doctors need to see symptoms as the cause for disease and not tests. they totally do not understand tsh, especially with adrenal problems-- low tsh test with adrenals shows decreased thyroid stimulating hormone in response to the decreased amount of adrenal hormone being produced---they work together not seperate. > > > ok (ranges in parenthesis) > > > > > > > > > triiodothyronine Free 3.2 (2.3-4.2) > > > ft4 Free thyroxine 0.9 (.8-1.8) > > > TSH (3rd generation) 5.6 (.35-5.0) > > > anti-thyroglobulin AB 344 (<40) > > > antithyroid peroxidase 528 (<35) > > > > > > > > > just called careoregon and they refused to lsit specialists for me. > > called > > > internal dr and he refused without an appt so i go thursday which > > is stupid > > > since he doesnt know the ranges. Guest guest
You are not alone the majority of the posters have had to not only test themselves but treat themselves--this is typical response for this disease!!!! So you are in good company!!!! you know many of our readings state that fibro is adrenal/thryoid problems---getting on the right meds will do wonders for you!!!! but you must take them everyday---not just a few here and there--you must make up a schedule and do it every day!!!!!!! It's takes a long time to get better--- some have said to me the longer I had the disease the longer it took to get well. And this is ususally for life once you have so many other diseases--some do go into remission with Hashi's and some beat it--but you must take your medication, vitamins, supplements!!! Your body needs all of it to work!!!!! I no longer have leg pain or heal pain---just from one thyroid glandular a day--it's great not to be in pain!!!! - In hypothyroidism , " Girlie " <kckim@c...> wrote: > *hugs to everyone * I appreciate you guys responding so much!!!! thank > you!.. yes i have been diagnosed with fibro (prob justthyroid) my back > sciatica nerve is out which no dr cares about but puts me in bed for days > and hard to walk and i have bladder inflmation which may also be auto immune > (interstitical cystitis) which ive been taking quercetin for which helps a > tiny bit in the thought maybe my bladder is attacking itself... omg it would > be a god send if armour took away my bladder pain!! every part of my body > is inflamed.. im only 28 and cant get out of bed oh yea and my intestiens > are severely inflammed.. its pathetic how i live and ive thot many times of > ending it..whats the point, right? i am a bit pissed that i have had this > for prob 15 years and i ahd to pay for my own damned test to figure this out > myself. > > Re: help me interpret my test results > > > > no, your thyroid is NOT normal!!! Guest guest
nothing else to do...plain and simple, the tests show that you do have Hashi's. that's all you need is that antibody test. hugs, sheila Girlie <kckim@...> wrote:is tehre something else i have to do to prove i have hashis? Guest guest
hi kim, you have every right to be angry. i understand why you're so upset...that it took so long to find out. and yes, you probably have had Hashi's for over a decade. now you just need some Armour!!! my mom and dad drove us to see the the longest waterfall in KY. you know how bad my mom has been with her messed up thyroid problems...i'm so happy she was able to go hiking with us today...she's so much better...just hoping and praying things continue to go well for her.
