Guest guest
As I've tried to indicate before my symptoms are conflicting. For example, I have a high heart rate and high metabolism; which I believe normally go more with hyper than hypo. In addition, I eat like a horse and gain no weight. Right now we're treating basically test results. <>Message: 6 Date: Mon, 8 Aug 2005 11:38:27 +1000 From: " Kerry Ann Faithfull " <kerry@...> Subject: RE: Adrenal vs thyroid I suppose this is where I would be wanting to look more closely at your symptoms and not the test - the TSH could be fluctuating for many reasons - in my case I am HypoT and was symptomatic for years before my TSH finally went up over 4...I just don't think it is a reliable indicator - as Chuck mentioned there might be a pituitary problem but IMO if your blood tests are abnormal and you don't have any bad symptoms then this is the perfect time to use natural therapies - vitamins, minerals or supplements to restore the balance - In my mind the tests are indicating that something is out of balance but using T4 might be an overkill if you are not symptomatic. You could go to an osteo or a naturopath. You aren't sick just because a doctor says you are and the opposite is also true - just because a doctor pronounces you well on the basis of a test doesn't mean you are either. I hope I'm not raving too much - my brain is a bit sticky this morning. Kerry Adrenal vs thyroid I'm taking Synthroid because my routine bloodwork showed a TSH level above the norm; and because 5 or 6 weeks later it showed even higher; increasing from 5.x to 6.x. Based upon a high and increasing TSH my family doctor started me on Synthroid. I haven't been to an endo... ---------- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
