Guest guest
Thank you . I'm sorry to be so full of questions. I only wish i found this groups years ago. I have so much reading it will probably be a month till I catch up to you all. All the back posts and books and sites, my goodness. I just can't understand how the doctors don't help you. They and my family even made me feel like I was crazy for a while and fighting the fatique at the time just created serious depression all combined when people don't listen. Guest guest
>Is anyone here feeling totally recovered from it and just here for support to let us know we can get back to normal? Does anyone recover from it? Hey there, I'm not 100% better, but I'm a whole heck of a lot better than I was a couple years ago. It does take a long time to find out what works for you, and it can be very frustrating and trying. The best thing to do is educate yourself, as many doctors don't know very much about thyroid disorders (although they'll never admit it). Go to http://www.thyroid.about.com and read, read, read, read, read.Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
Hannah and All: How can I impress upon you all that its imperative to take responsibility for your own health and well being?? When you feel terrible and your "doctor" can't figure out whats happening or tells you its all in your mind or prescribes Prozac or worse, then you have to take responsibility for your own health and not allow yourself to be herded into a drug program or allow yourself to feel like a second class troll. "Doctors", meaning medically trained personnel, are trained to use prescription pads!! That means drugs. No thyroid problem, if the gland is still intact, needs any meds, drugs, or replacement! The problem most people face is either overactivity [Graves] or underactivity [Hashimotos]. These are not a disease. These are merely progressions in the destruction of the thyroid due to auto-immune disorders. Auto-immune disorders are caused by: 1-mercury in amalgam or any other heavy metals 2-pathogenic micro-organisms [herpes, EBV or CMV, candida, flukes, parasites, strep, staph, E.coli, giardia, HIV, etc. 3-chlorine/fluorides in water..or any other chemicals used in water treatment [hundreds] 4-soy products [unfermented] like soy milk, tofu 5-any drugs, prescription or illegal 6-gluten in tolerance You have to figure out which or all of these may be influencing your thyroid problem. Then, if you will look at www.thyrodine.com we suggest to you how you can best eliminate these problems and with the Hormone Regeneration protocol begin to bring your thyroid and health back to normal. That means using a good nutritional program. We send a daily Biogenic Nutritional Guide which is very helpful. Also look at www.hacres.com there is good nutritional data there [and some heavy biblical data which you can ignore if it doesn't appeal to you]. You can get Fit for Life, still one of the best books on nutrition. Mercury is a huge problem. It infiltrates the thyroid and causes the immune system to recognize the infiltrated tissues as not self and makes antibodies to destroy the gland. At first huge quantities of T4 are released [Graves] for which medicine wants to destroy your gland. Then the outpouring of T4 slows down and is perceived as....normal [while your symptoms are getting worse]. Then the gland is nearing exhaustion and we have hypothyroid [Hashimotos], for which you usually get Synthroid or Armour or ?? All the while, if the test has any significance, the TSH should be sky high....in all of these sequences. What is required in all of these sequences is the elimination of the auto-immune cause. If its mercury, then you'll have to face up to having the mercury removed by a competent dentist. Expensive, yes, so are medical bills for years which ignore the mercury problem. And so is continual flooding of every cell in your body with mercury. If you wish to pull mercury from the tissues while you're having the dental work done [quickly or over a year or two] then one can take both chlorella tabs and cilantro herbals. If its micro-organisms causing the auto-immune disorder, then the Hormone or Thyroid Regeneration protocol will eliminate that cause and restore proper, normal thyroid function. Please take all this as suggestions only. Use your own discretion. But take responsibility for your own health and well being. Bet you were offered antidepressants, right? I don't know why doctors picked thyroid problems to be clueless and stubborn about, but they did.Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
LOL Hanna I'll tell you.... I Know I'm not crazy and they still treat me as if Nothing is wrong with me...... I'm fed up...... That is where I get (and see others do too now) that you just quit and crawl into yourself. The frustration with getting no help is the worst part of it and pushes your fatique and depression even deeper. I fight back for a bit, only to get pushed back down with the MDs attitudes. Circles and circles till finding this group. Thanks all, Hannah
Guest guest
Thank you so much Earl : ) I am saving every link you all have been putting up but haven't read through them all yet. I've alot of catching up to do cause all I got from my doctor was a script for synthyroid.....see you in 3 months. At this point I would like to buy everything I've seen here but I don't know what mixes together and if it eliminates the synthyroid then. Yeah, antidepressants cause "I HAD POST PARUM DEPRESSION!!" believe that one? Postpartum does not cause everything you have to turn horrible and look like you survived a fallout. Here's a good one from Hopkins MD..... If my tsh crap is normal why am I still falling apart and my hair coming out in clumps? "Did your grandmother lose her hair? It may run in the family". I have (had now) enough hair for 3 people, that runs in my family. We have hair that stuns all the beauticians. Hannah
Guest guest
Hannah: If you'll check out www.thyrodine.com you'll see that there is a protocol with definite phases to it. By utilizing the Thyroid Regeneration protocol, most folks can eliminate their synthetric drugs in 2 to 6 weeks. By restoring normal thyroid function, drugs are rendered completely unnecessary.
