Just an added note about taking biotin, since it is a B Vitamin a

person should be taking a balanced B Vit. complex along with the

extra biotin so the other B's are not depleted.

Glenn, what do you think of our diet recommendations?

Honestly, I'm a bit clueless about vitamins! The amts listed in all

the books are quite high, and I've spent more than $100 getting

them. I cheated and bought some at Kmart (forgive me!), but really

don't know.

Ron Hubbard (Church of Scientology) wrote several books about

eliminating toxins from your system (I havn't read them), and he,

too, espouses high levels of vitamins, a good gallon of water, as

well as running and sitting in a sauna for hours for several weeks to

expel toxins. Someone on one of these lists swore by it, but said it

was boring. (A church member will sit with you though! haha!)

Hubbard's books seem to repeat the same information, so I guess all

these vitamin diets say we're undernourished. :-(

some supplements (Magnesium?) encourage elimination, which is a Real

Inconvenience. It's the only drawback to consuming a lot of

vitamins -- which ones are the culprits?

Hi Glenn,

There is a list of vitamins and the recommended amounts in my

article " How to Successfully Overcome Candida " in our files on the

left side-bar. Too much magnesium or Vitamin C will cause the runs,

but for some people it takes quite a bit to get to that level. The

levels recommended are not anywhere near that.

It is difficult to get all the nutrients you need from foods because

of poor soil, long transport and storage of foods, irradiation, etc. -

the best are fresh produce are " certified organic " and meats from

animals that are properly fed, i.e. grass fed beef, chickens that are

free-range and allowed to eat insects.

Even then some people are low in certain nutrients and require

supplements, i.e. calcium, magnesium, Vit. C, Vit. D and A (from cod

liver oil). If you check out my article and others in our files you

will get a wealth of information about nutrients, how to get them,

etc.

You pay for high quality vitamins and minerals, K-Mart ones just

aren't good enough. You don't want synthetic vitamins, and buy them

separately, not in a daily vit. tablet. B Vitamins must be balanced,

calcium is not taken without magnesium and vice versa.
