I'm 31 and have had JRA/RA since I was 13. I also have fibro. My doc said that with RA as bad as mine it goes along with the territory. Lucky me. I was also on Imuran for a while. I honestly don't know why I stopped it. And I don't think I ever had any side effects. In fact, if the Arava goes belly up on me, I plan to try that again. It's nice to have a menu to choose from these days. =) I always didn't have that luxury. If one is going to get an autoimmune disease like RA, now is a good time with the choices of drugs out there. I just wish they'd had half of them to choose from 18 years ago. I might not be in such " crippled " shape. Don't get me wrong. I am not complaining.
