Guest guest
sounds like my stubborn body. I seem to always be restricting my carbs just to keep from gaining. Or if I do loose a few pounds they seem to find their way right back. I had that horrible flu for several days and what I did lose from all that " purging " was apparently water loss. As soon as I was able to eat and drink again I was right back to my " normal " weight. Such a shame to have been so sick and have lost nothing for all my misery. Guest guest
Stinks doesn't it. I have an appointment Feb 11th with a woman doctor here who is suppose to be good with all the hormones in the body. She doesn't take any insurance so I hope she is really good. My adrenal gland is apparently sluggish too. I had a doc who tested all the hormones and my Dhea and progesteron were low and my glucose was high, plus my thyroid was on the very low end of normal. She said that all adds up to an adrenal gland that is barely working. I just start taking some Adrenal Rebuilder and lost 8 lbs this past month. Then I gained 4 lbs back but then the later part of this week I dropped 4 again. I hope it continues but usually if I lose it finds me so I don't like to say I lost anything. I mean if it was lost how would it find it's way back? LOL My bad cholesterol is in the very upper 200's while the good stuff is low. I am now diabetic. Last time I tested my fasting sugar was 222. I know something is wrong. Most of the hair on top of my head is missing. I can't lose weight, my eyes blurr, I have allergies galore, no energy, I ache, (muscle pain) I hurt (bone and joint pain), I have a rash on my upper right arm, I break out in hives on a regular basis now when I eat certain foods and also when I take some (?) supplement. I haven't been able to figure out which supplement is doing that. I had undiagnoised Celiac Disease for years. Sometimes I have a feeling I will never be well again. But I keep hoping. Guest guest
Yikes, there is a site that tells the symptoms of Adrenal, Thyroid and also mentions that sometime you can have a mixture. Let me see if I can find it. http://www.drrind.com/scorecardmatrix.asp See if this link will take you right too it. I saved this for my son as he has a lot of problems. As for the weight, the adrenal Rebuilder had to be what made me loose. I was off my diet for about a month and a half. I was eating stuff that should have made me gain for sure. I was overloading on carbs. Baked potato, fries, pinto beans, rice pizza crust. I had baked potato and a huge steak one night and then two nights later I had a double classic hambuger and huge order of fries. Plus I ate cereal and some other carbs that week. Red meat and any startcy type carbs usually make me gain like crazy. You can do a search on google for adrenal symptoms and also when I first joined this list I went back and started reading all the e-mail post from the beginning. I knew I had an adrenal problem from some test a doctor ran on me a couple of years ago. She was treating me for fibro and CFS. She did a whole panerama of test. Some through a reg lab and then other test through a couple of other labs. One was a Cellmate Wellness System and the other was The Great Smokey Lab. She had me on a lot of different things. Electolytes, amnio acids, minerals, synthroid, Dhea, Vit B 12 and other B Vitamins, and progesterone. But my test always came back low on the adrenal gland and thyroid. She wouldn't give me anything but synthrodid. I first learned about the adrenal and thyroid connection on a Celiac Support Group I am on. So i did a search for Adrenal and Thyroid on Google and this support group came up. Re: this is a lil odd > > > > sounds like my stubborn body. Guest guest
this is one of our favorites sites here --also on the adrenal fatigue site they have a good quiz to see where you stand ---this will help too http://www.adrenalfatigue.org/burnout.php > Yikes, there is a site that tells the symptoms of Adrenal, Thyroid and also mentions that sometime you can have a mixture.
