thyroid meds like Armour do several things----calm down the nervous system

enormously and allow the brain to focus and think clearly. After I had a

partial thyroidectomy I was unable to read, think or talk! I didn't get

thyroid meds for 30 years so my most productive years were lost to me. Also

cod liver oil is WONDERFUL brain food. We have a deficiency in omega 3

EFAs because of infant formula (very deficient in EFAs and other nutrients

important for brain development), and because of hydrogenated oils used in

all processed foods. Also eggs used to be a great source of omega 3s but

now we get eggs from cage raised chickens, not so healthy.

So I understand that drugs work, but your kids may thank you if you give

them what their bodies need instead.

I go to the dairy down the road and buy raw milk with cream on top, raw

butter (which tastes like cheese), and eggs from chickens who wander around

the farm ($1.25 a dozen). :) I live in a very rural area, although farms

have been disappearing at a rapid rate.
