Guest guest
Keisha, I have been taking Biotin since April. I was told it would help weak fingernails. It certainly has done that. I take mine in the late afternoon. It also is supposed to help the body use proteins. Joan > Hello.. I have a question about Biotin. I am not to sure what it is . But my mom told me to start taking it.. I want to know if I actually can or not.. Heck having hypo isnt the easyest thing to deal with , when it comes to other meds.. Anyways does any of you know what Biotin 1000 mg is and what it does for the body?? and IF I can take it how long after or before my armour can I take it.. I would call my doctor and ask him but honestly I think this group is more qualified , the only thing we dont have is a licences. but we seem to know more then the doctors>>> lol***Any replies would be greatly appreicated.. thanks so much.. Guest guest
A friend of mine, who is also hypoT from surgery, said her dermatologist told her to take 800 mg twice a day. I take 500mg a day after starting at 250 mg a day. When I look at the list of sources, egg yolks are the only one in my diet and my multi gives a very tiny portion of RDA. Guest guest
The nail has to grow out from the base. So however long that takes for the individual. For me they are just now getting pretty strong, I've been taking it since April. Joan A friend of mine, who is also hypoT from surgery, said her > dermatologist told her to take 800 mg twice a day.
