I did use a probiotic enema about once a month. I used yogurt for the vaginal discomfort. I also used yogurt to swish around my mouth (but didn't swallow it), which helped with the white tongue and sore mouth. And I very slowly worked to get my stomach/gut to accept the yogurt. I started off having 1 tsp. every 4th day, with a meal. After 2 weeks I tried it every 3rd day, and so on. Last month I began handling 2 tbsp. of yogurt once a day, and now I'm up to 1/2 cup. Like you, my big problem has been those allergic reactions to lots of foods, including yogurt. So I did yogurt/probiotics enemas like you, and I am presently taking 1 spoon every 3 days. Not where you are yet but I hope to get there. Your progress is very encouraging for me. Keep up the good work. Francine
Guest guest
Hi . Yes, I've just had to follow the candida elimination diet for the past 7 months because my body does not handle the antifungals at all well. I tried Diflucan during the first month; my doctor recommended it when I saw her about the symptoms (I didn't understand anything about candida at that point, and only knew I had symptoms that weren't my usual gastric ones...). The first dose went well, although the die-off was hard to endure. However when I took the second dose of Diflucan a month later (at my doctor's suggestion) I had an allergic reaction and ended up in the ER. ly, I was afraid to try Nystatin at that point too. So I just stuck with the candida elimination diet only for 2 months. I had trouble taking probiotics too; taking it as a supplement, either with food or without, caused an allergic reaction. Same with my homemade yogurt. I tried the rejuvelac too, but my stomach didn't like it at all--but then I have a cranky digestion due to my gastric problems. However, I knew I needed to get the beneficial bacteria into my body somehow. I did use a probiotic enema about once a month. I used yogurt for the vaginal discomfort. I think having yogurt regularly (again, I make my own -- it's not hard) has made a big difference in getting my candida levels down. So, just sticking with the diet does work. It just takes time. Lots of patience too! Kim M.

I have been on the candida diet i.e. no sugar (including all fruit), no dairy, no gluten or grains of any sort, no yeast - everything organic, eliminated all chemicals as much as possible - and I am no better than the day I started five years ago. I take vitamins and minerals and liver support - all that has really helped me to feel a little improvement is liver support. Without that I do not have a life my chronic fatigue is so unbearable. Nice to hear a success story though! Love
Guest guest
Hi . I'm sorry to hear that even after 5 years you still aren't feeling much better. That's discouraging, to say the least. I have had four years of chronic fatigue myself, so I know how tough that is. Do you have Leaky Gut syndrome or other gastric problems? I know that I have some of this in addition to the antibiotics causing my candida overgrowth. My chronic fatigue seems to be improving, especially since my hysterectomy in April. Wish I could suggest something that would help you. It can be so frustrating to be doing the right things but still not see or feel much improvement. Maybe it just needs lots and lots of time???
