Guest guest
* Is it ok to eat the Ezekiel sprouted bread for candida? I love to eat this in the morning with almond butter , sometimes adding honey, but not sure if is ok when trying to rid Candida. The breads ingredients are sprouted wheat, barley, millet, lentils, soybeans, spelt, and fresh yeast. Tony I would say no. and honey is out too since it is a sugar. Lo carb all the way. Guest guest
Hi Tony: I can eat it - in fact, it's the only " bread " that I do eat. It's such a treat for me since I am a former carb addict. But - as always - listen to what your body tells you on that one - everyone's system is different. And you're right about the honey. It may be natural but it still feeds the Candida. Guest guest
> The breads ingredients are sprouted wheat, barley, millet, lentils, soybeans, spelt, and fresh yeast. Hi Tony, Sorry Tony but Ezekiel sprouted bread is not okay for candida because it contains soybeans (see my article for warnings on the dangers of soybeans and any soy products), and it contains yeast (yeasty, fungal and moldy foods are a no-no) and wheat and barley are gluten grains (in my article as well). However sprouting grains does remove the mineral blocking substance in grains, an alternative to soaking. Unfortunately trying to eat any grains is difficult when you have candida. Grains are high in carbs and they act just like sugar in the body, feeding the candida. The only safe ones are buckwheat, millet, brown rice and quinoa which must be soaked properly or sprouted (instructions in the files on the left side-bar). This means they must be homemade. I haven't found any commercial products that meet the requirements. Also even though they are non-gluten they are also high in carbs. Eating grains will increase cravings for them as well as sugar. When eating even these grains also have plenty of protein and " good " fats to minimize their affect, i.e. eggs and buckwheat pancake with butter and 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Sorry to put the damper on Ezekiel bread Tony. I've had it and it does taste delicious with almond butter. The buckwheat pancake recipe is in the files and having it with butter and almond butter tastes good too. Just roll it up to eat with eggs or other foods. Zack, our moderator, gave us the recipe for them. I believe he makes them up ahead of time and freezes them. I've found the batter can't be kept it in the fridge for future use because it loses its consistency. I hope that helps, Bee
Guest guest
I ate honey and ezekiel bread when I have candidas and I had no problems with it. I also love the almond butter, cashew butter is yummy too! I sometimes add no sugar added jam. *8-) --- Steve knight <steve@...> wrote: > * Is it ok to eat the Ezekiel sprouted bread for > candida? > I love to eat this in the morning with almond butter > , sometimes adding > honey, but not sure if is ok when trying to rid > Candida. > The breads ingredients are sprouted > wheat, barley, millet, lentils, soybeans, spelt, and > fresh yeast. > Tony >
