Guest guest
Hello. I've struggled with weight all my life and have recently learned about hypothyroidism. After reading about it and seeing all the symptoms, I feel that I have this condition. I have tremendous difficulty losing weight, gain weight easily, am susceptible to cold weather, have dry skin, am tired regularly, have frequent headaches, frequent constipation, and difficulty concentrating. I took my temperature immediately upon waking up and had a temperature of 97.3. I recently went to my doctor to discuss this and had bloodwork done. He informed me today that my thyroid tests were fine. AFter discussing this further, he said that he would look into referring me to an endocrinologist. I am feeling very frustrated right now. I've read that hypothyroidism can be difficult to detect, but was hoping that you folks could let me know if I sound like a candidate for hypothyroidism or am just looking for something that just isn't there. Thank you.
