Yes, just aim for the correct ratios and their numbers, not calories. See the article in the Candida Diet Folder on how to use www.fitday.com to calculate the amount of each food; you start with the quantity of food and then back track to figure out how much you need to add up to the correct grams; do not translate grams to ounces nor to any other type of measurement because it doesn't work that way. Using the Excel Spreadsheet in the Candida Diet Folder helps you to figure it out. You can play around with the number of eggs or the weight of meats that add up to the grams required, and the same with fats and carbs. I really don't see how I can eat more fat--I add about as much coconut oil as I can stand to everything I possibly can. Even if I drop my protein intake I still need about another 5-6 Tbsp of fat a day to make things add up. I don't see how I can do that. I don't feel I can eat a lot less protein than I'm eating for a couple of reasons--1) that will mean I'm eating less fat, too, since I add a ton of fat to everything, & 2) I get too hungry if I eat less than what I'm eating now. I know you say weight loss should not be a big deal to candida sufferers, but I am nursing and already way too skinny (113 lbs at 5'8 " ), and I am afraid if I lose any more weight or eat less it will start to affect my milk supply. Is there any reason I would not be able to heal simply by eating the healthy foods allowed and doing the best I can with the ratios?

First it says the ratio of fats to protein is 1:2.5-3.5, then it says 1:1.5-2.5. Which is why I didn't figure out earlier I wasn't eating enough fat... Guest guest
, I corrected the Word and HTML documents for calculating ratios of Proteins, Fats & Carbs. I also posted a new Excel Spreadsheet which has some typical foods with their ratios, and calculations for Bee's Egg Drink, Electrolyte Drink and a Tuna Salad with Basic Mayonnaise. Thanks for pointing it out to me. Fat is twice the calories that proteins and carbs are, that why fats are such a good fuel for the body to run on instead of carbs. Fat also requires much less body energy to digest and utilize it, and no problems with creating insulin resistance like carbs do.
