if you're going to serve it immediately, i would try gently heating

coconut oil until it liquifies and using that! i like to have two

coconut oils around, one with no flavor which i use for sauteeing,

and then one extra virgin one with all the coconut flavor still there!

(and sub. lemon, lime or RAW apple cider vinegar for any other

vinegars they might have in the recipe)

you could also use unrefined sesame oil (keep it in the fridge to

slow it from going rancid), which is also a really nice body oil. its

not a generally recommended oil around here, but i find it less

oppressive than canola, or other *vegetable* oils.

enjoy! ~ suz :)

Just a remark, but a vegatable oil is really a misnomer is not?

Avacodo is a fruit ,so are grapes-grape seed oil?

nut oils are made nuts, seed oils from seeds and bean oils are from legumes.

Corn is more a starch ,but made be the only " vegetable oil "

Rapeseed, canola ,,safflower are from plants.

Olives really seem to be fruits, but I have not looked them up . maybe they are

the vegetable oil, but they grown on a tree.

Any thoughts

[ ] Is any " vegetable oil " recommended?

Hi, I have a delicious recipe for Chinese salad with chicken from a

restruarnt...they are calling for " vegetable oil " . I'm wondering if

there is an acceptable " vegetable oil " on the Healing Candida Diet.

Thanks for any feedback ,

Sherrard

You are right about " vegetables oils " being a misnomer. Canola is

made from rapeseed which is in the mustard family along with broccoli

and cauliflower so it could be either a spice or a vegetable?

Olives, avocados and coconuts are all fruits.

Interesting.

hi cindy,

my thinking is it comes from the very general breakdown descriptions

of the elements which make up this planet :ie " is it animal,

vegetable or mineral? "

that, AND the fact that its a consumer-friendly term. i mean,

vegetables are good for you, right? ;-)

my 2 cents
