castor oil packs

I have used castor oil packs several times in recent

weeks. After I had a gallbladder attack I used one

for a few consecutive evenings. I have done two

gallbladder cleanses and incorporated the castor oil

pack with the procedure. In fact, I've also used

one on my left ankle which was severely broken a

number of years ago and has limited range of motion.

It felt really good!

That's about all I can tell you about them. :)

Hi

Here's a page that might be helpful: <A

In a nutshell, though, you take a piece of flannel (with no dyes in it), pour

the castor oil on it until it's good and soaked (but not so much that it's

dripping, cuz you don't want to make a mess! <grin>), put this against your

skin on whatever area you want to help, put a plastic bag over that and a

heating pad or hot water bottle over that and keep it there for whatever

length of time you can. I usually try for about an hour.

That page has much more detailed information about it, but it's really a

simple procedure and good for SO many different things! :)

Hi:

I found this site for castor oil packs with a Google search. I have no

connection with the site or the marketing of any health items.

Hi Kistina,

I was going to use castor oil packs on my gallbladder area. I know

someone on the list did it way back when and she said she threw up green stuff!

I think it cleared her gallbladder out. Anyway, please do let us know how the

castor oil packs work.

I saw your post on ABC, I am waiting to see if you get any mucoid plaque.

I might try some one day.

God bless,

Hazelpone

Hi there everyone!

I am very excited because today I got some white

flannel and castor oil to start my packs AND I have

the ABC MAX bulk cleanse. I can't wait to do these

two things ALONG with my cleansings which will resume

next week. They say it's best to do several packs

before a colonic and continue during your series.

I am looking forward to doing it. Just for the

record, I used the ABC Max last night but nothing came

out this morning. Whoever had instant overnight

results I would say you have a small transit time ; ).

Lucky you! I'll keep you all informed if something

magical happens.

Take care

a

Hi,

I am not familiar with castor oil packs, but this is an excerpt from

Dr. Mercola's site:

http://www.mercola.com/2003/dec/13/hydrotherapy.htm

The Castor Oil Pack - The castor bean (Oleum ricini), also known as

Palma Christi due to its shape and healing properties, is known

principally as a cathartic (strong laxative) when taken internally. A

gentler use is in the form of a pack placed over the abdomen, usually

with heat applied. The oil is absorbed into the lymphatic circulation

to provide a soothing, cleansing, and nutritive treatment.

Castor oil does not have a laxative effect when used topically. The

castor oil pack is not technically a hydrotherapy treatment, but it

has many applications, and is specific for assisting detoxification

and for digestion enhancement.

Other conditions that respond well include: headaches (decreases

frequency), liver disorders, constipation, intestinal disorders, in

cases of uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts that are non-malignant,

gallbladder inflammation or stones, conditions with poor elimination,

nighttime urinary frequency and inflamed joints. It is not to be used

during pregnancy, over bleeding areas, or during menstruation.
