Yes, I also have OCD, and it got worse at first on

this diet, but now it seems to be getting much better.

I think a lot of it is stress and anxiety, and also

no longer coping by eating myself into a carb-laden

stuper. Feel free to email me privately.

I have OCD, I believe it is related to my PTSD. Are you just comparing notes

Emma or are you doing some research?

==>I know OCD is obsessive compulsive disorder but what is PTSD. It

would help all of us if members do not use too many acronyms.

Thanks, Bee

post traumatic stress disorder, I had a run in with a lawn mower when I was

two, and I lost my left hand as a result. This is when my history of

antibiotic use started (38 years ago).

Hi Shirley!

I guess a little of both.

I have OCD and candida and the epstein barr virus and copper

toxicity and simply wondering if any others have in particular OCD.

I have alot of symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder also, I

too believe they are linked. Has anything helped you in regard to

these things in particular for you?

I rather feel like I'm going nuts.

A tortourus beasty.

Thanks for your response.

Hi ,

Thanks for replying.

Does being on a candida diet help with it at all? Do you find they

are related????

I'm unsure, but mum is convinced the OCD is related to having high

levels of candida.

Emma,

I find that I am calmer on the anti-candida diet, and that my OCP is a defense

against feeling afraid. I am usually unaware that I am afraid, and so, my

defenses are also invisible to me, or, at best, a mystery to me. As I can feel

my fear, and not be in my head so much, and feel the feelings under the fear,

usually sadness, or helplessness, dispair, loneliness, I can see the defenses

lessen, and feeling calmer, and safer, which the diet helps me with, helps me

acheive this. I've had terrific moments since starting this diet, feeling like

I was nineteen again, and I've had horrible feelings, like I was going to die,

like I was losing my mind. I'm trying to learn, and start practicing Qi Gong,

to cultivate inner peace, and calm. I got books, and audio, and video tapes

from the library to learn it. Couldn't hurt to try the diet, etc, and see what

happens.....

Good luck,

PS

I notice that sugar, and other diet no-no's make me anxious, but, since I've

felt anxious so long, that feels " normal " to me, and feeling calm, or sad, or

feeling at all, feels " abnormal " to me. When I'm in crisis, I reach for sugar,

or a cigarette, or (decaf) coffee, with cream, and sugar, and sometimes a drink.

But these put me back in a state of fear, but it feels more normal than the

peace I'd begun to cultivate, which hadn't gotten to feel " normal " yet, on a

gut, or knee-jerk level. Eventually I'll know that fear is not the way I want

my life to be mostly made of, and peaceful calm will become my " normal " , that

I'll cultivate/go to in moments of crisis, but not having experienced that

growing up, I do what I saw modelled, and what I experienced, what I became

conditioned to, which is to keep myself afraid. After I started on the diet for

a week, or two, I cheated, and became so tired I could hardly keep my eyes open.

I had some decaf with cream, and sugar, and half an olive wrap, with a flour

tortilla, and a couple small cookies. I'd done this countless times before, but

never noticed the sleepiness, and confusion, because I had nothing to compare it

against. Now I did, and wow, what an eye-opener. Also, I had a candida rash,

which I was prescribed an anti-fungal/steroid creme for, and had die-off

reactions. It felt like I was going to die. Anxiety like crazy, dizziness,

nausea, sweats, shaking, heart pains; I went to the ER, but, after learning

what it was, and that I could have some influence over it, helped me through

other small bouts of die-off. I breathe into my hands, to dialate my blood

vessels, and try to relax, use calming breathing techniques, such as Qi Gong,

and do exercise, and steam, whilrpool.

Anyway, best of luck with it.
