You can only spread the word and hope someone is open to it. ----- Hi Anita When I started mentioning the great benefits I have had from this diet to the on-line world of cea, I was given a WARNING! Oh my! I was told that discussing diet is like talking about religion or politics to some folks! So, I do try to go easy now. It does frustrate me, as I do know that many of my fellow ceans would benefit from what I am doing but they choose to throw it aside as a bit hippy freaky! I love to help people. It's part of my nature. But I am not going to twist someone's arm! Go with the flow. Tell them what you've learnt. Offer further proof. If that doesn't work, then it's likely it won't ever work. At least for you and for me, we know what is a good thing! Jen P.S. I had the cholesterol 'argument' with several ceans. I chose to let it go. No point in flogging a dead horse, so to speak! Guest guest
Jen - This is me too! I guess that can make it more frustrating in a sense too. I liken it to having religion - you feel so enlightened like you have received " the word " so it makes you zealous to spread it, esp when you see so many who need it! ~Anita Nairn <rothco@...> wrote: I love to help people. Guest guest
I would like to share my personal experienceas a hospital worker and a doctor having a close mind when it comes to illness. We had an elderly patient coming in 3 times a week for Calcium IV, since her calcium level was very low. A few months back she was very upset and told us she couldn't keep nothing down, whatever she ate would either come up or caused diarrhea right away. On this day I spend more time with her than I normally did, we talked about a number of things but what caught my attention was her diet. She then told me that she was a celiac, right away I asked if her doctor give her a list of the food(s) she should avoid. To my horror she said: " NO " , should he have? The next time she came in I give a CD with a lot of information and recipes for celiac. The blood test showed her calcium level was up. She told her doctor about our discussion, her doctor came in to talk to me and wanted a copy of the information I had given Pat. Not longer after that the hospital dietician asked for a copy of my celiac recipe CD along with our Wellness Centre Office. Within a month Pat stopped coming in for calcium IV's because her calcium level went up to normal range. We need to take the time to educate this doctors about the candida and what is doing to us all. Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Guest guest
Dear Maddalena, Thanks so very much for sharing that story with us. Wow! You are right we do need to do what we can to educate doctors. Other than her being a former smoker (quit 20 years ago) she had no family history of cancer and her parents and siblings lived well into their 90's. My sister recalls that my mother always had a yeast issue (though I don't remember it) and my mother was always eating yogurt and taking acidoph to combat it. Is it true there is yeast in cigarettes? ==>My heart goes out to you losing your mother and sister to cancer. Please understand that smoking all by itself does not cause cancer because the person must also be lacking nutrients. Our bodies can handle toxins if there are proper nutrients which will keep the immune system operating normally. The body is designed to get rid of toxins, and it is very efficient at it if it has the nutrients to do it! ==>I do not know whether yeast is in cigarettes, but you cannot " catch " yeast in any case. Yeast overgrowth and cancer only occur in each individual body due to a depressed immune system. To understand more about it see the Folders " Germ & Antibody Theories Are False " and " Immune System Info " . Bee
