Guest guest
This may seem like a very silly question but " Club Soda " in Australia is a fizzy soft drink (full of sugar). We call it " Squash " or " Lemon Squash " at the pub. I am sure this is not the stuff I should be adding to a drink??? Is " Club Soda " different in Canada/America? Oh, also, is plain soda water ok to add to drinks to make them fizzy? Thanks Jen
Guest guest
I think we have the same thing here as " club soda. " Soda water, or carbonated water, or Seltzer water, is fine. I guess some people don't tolerate large quantities of it very well but I have no problem with it. The Seltzer water flavored with a little lemon, lime, black cherry, etc. essence is fine, too. I drink a lot of it in the summer. Be sure to read the labels on soda water to make sure its only ingredients are carbonated water and the fruit essence, if it's flavored. Some brands, like Schweppes, Canfield's, La Croix, Mendota Springs available here in the USA, are fine. But for some unknown reason other brands, like President's Choice, have to add all sorts of other things like aspartame (yeccch!) to theirs.
