However I just want to confirm that the suplements (B vitamis, Magnesium, Calcium, coconut oil) are taken in stage 2, after I am on the diet for >a while and I have no more die off. Is that correct? ==>Step 1 is eliminating foods that feed candida, and Step 2 is the diet and supplements together, to build up the immune system, which includes coconut oil as part of the diet, and you can also drink the Pau D'Arco tea with the diet because it is a mild antifungal. ==>You would start on Step 3, Antifungals, when you've gotten through the worst of the die-off symptoms, but you could still have some die- off. If you start on antifungals such as oregano oil or clove oil or garlic (you only need one) and your die-off is too severe to handle you might need to stay on the diet & supplements longer, or start with very small amounts of antifungal and gradually increase them. Guest guest
Dear Bee, Thank you very much for your answer. I'm starting with phase I, taking out the sugar(fruits and sugary vegetables) and reducing the amount of carbs. However, my body doesn't like either too much fat or protein, I feel that I cannot take too much of it and I'm hungry all the time. I tried to do a low carb diet before, but I lost so much weight that I had to stop (size 00). It is funny that the only carbs that don't give me acid stomach are potatoes and pop corn (they even aliviate the simptoms), but all the others do. Do you think I can follow the anti candida diet including some carbs in my diet? would I have good results? Thanks a lot, Francisca

However, my body doesn't like either too much fat or protein, I feel that I cannot take too much of it and I'm hungry all the time. ==>While you " may think " your body doesn't like too much fat or protein, they are the very easiest foods for the body to digest, while carbs require a great deal of energy, enzymes and resources in order to digest them. In fact you can be totally healthy on only meats, eggs and good fats, with no carbs of any kind in your diet. See the All Meat Diet experiment by Stefansson at: http://www.biblelife.org/stefansson1.htm - there are 3 parts. His diet consisted of 20% protein and 80% fat and no carbs. ==>There are many healthful benefits to eating the recommended ratios of proteins to fats to carbs - see the Candida Diet Folder on how to calculate your ratios according to height, and also articles about protein and its importance in the diet and about Carbs. Also see the Fats & Oils folder. In addition to other benefits proteins & fats stimulate the gall bladder to empty (helps keep the liver & gall bladder healthy), and good fats are extremely important for the health of the intestines. > I tried to do a low carb diet before, but I lost so much weight that I had to stop (size 00). ==>When you have candida, weight is the least of your problem. Your weight will normalize once you've cured the candida. When I was curing my candida I was losing 3 lbs. a day at one point - see Bee's Personal Candida Story in the Files (after the folders). It is very important to eat enough good fats per the ratios recommended in my article and the Candida Diet Folder. You will be changing your body over from running on carbs to running on fats, which is much more efficient and healthier, however there is an adjustment period your body has to go through. You will never regret changing your diet. > It is funny that the only carbs that don't give me acid stomach are potatoes and pop corn (they even aliviate the simptoms), but all the others do. There are lots of vegetables allowed on the diet. You would hamper your progress and success if you eat carbs not allowed because they feed candida. To help your stomach eat 1 tablespoon of unheated sauerkraut or kimchi with every meal - make them homemade or buy unpasteurized sauerkraut at the health store, and also have the lemon juice & ocean sea salt drink with meals. You may also need extra digestive enzymes - see the Digestion Folder on how to test for stomach acid levels and how to take digestive enzymes. ==>I wish you the very best Francisca. I look forward to hearing how you do. Take one step at a time and eventually you will arrive at total health! Believe us, this program does get excellent results if you follow it.
