Kerry I think you should go back and be sure to read Bee's required reading on the basics of the diet. I'd love to offer you support but it's kind of hard to support someone who doesn't read the material provided by Bee as required reading. I don't think support should equal enabling and sometimes GREAT support can be a good kick in the butt with a ballet shoe, when needed. Guest guest
Well, Kerry, generally Bee and the moderators try not to be blunt but rather encouraging. Realize that some people are under a great deal of stress and pain and may not come across as pleasant as others. We do our best but being sick often brings out the worst in people. The files section is there for you; please take the time to read as much as possible and realize it is the way to being well. It doesn't happen in a day, either; that is the reason we're here - to encourage each other a little. But the closer you follow Bee's recommendations, the better it will get. Many of us have made vast improvements already. It's taken me two years but I seem to have made it. Zack On Wed, 8 Feb 2006, Kerry Lo Bosco wrote: > > > > > > > > Yes, you were a little too blunt. Guest guest
Hi Kerry. When I first joined this site a little over a month ago, I too had to revise the 'anti-candida diet' I had been on for the previous 2 months, as it contained many things not allowed on Bee's diet. It was a bit confusing (and also frustrating!) at first, as I had paid good money to see a nutritionist to put me on an effective anti-candida plan, yet felt I hadn't been making much progress. In the past month that I have followed Bee's diet religiously, I've been making steady progress (some of my symptoms have completely disappeared, the rest have significantly improved) - now I honestly can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I don't know how long I have to follow this regime for, but the funny thing is, once you realise that your body is healing as a direct consequence of what you eat, it changes your whole perspective and really does become more than just a diet you have to stick to begrdudgingly - it becomes a new positive lifestyle. Well, that's where I am at anyway :-) There's is a LOT of info in the files - it took me a while to digest it all, and even now I still have to go back to read them every now and then to check up on certain things. Take your time, and don't be afraid to ask questions to help you on your way. Though I might not post much, this site has proven a godsend for me. Mike > > > Yes, you were a little too blunt. She is also struggling and sometimes when a person IS following the diet and program, and they've had to sacrifice to accomplish what they have, they can become frustrated with others. I feel that way sometimes myself. But we all have to remember that this is a horrible disease and nerves can be on the edge. Please forgive Debby Kerry. I've always found her to be very kind and understanding so this is not a normal response from her. Let's all support her too! She needs us. Lots Hugs to you Kerry, and to Debby and to everyone, Bee

I just want to say that my post was not intended to offend anyone, but I am a straight shooter when it comes to talking to people.. sometimes people need the truth sugar coated but that is not my thing. I truly believe that everyone should give Bee the courtesy to at least read her introductory file and info on the diet before posting.. I think it's rude to post without doing at least that. I made sure I read every file that Bee sent me before posting. I don't understand where Bee gets the patience from to help people who won't even help themselves and read the info first... she must be a Saint. I know that Bee adds some grains and nuts as things get under control and this can be confusing to people. Also, we are all at a different stage in this and may post about the diet in the later stages, like myself. My Candida is under control, have had SEVERAL tests using different methods, all came out negative repeatedly, not that tests are perfectly accurate, but I have lost the symptoms. However, I still have much healing to do, as my adrenals are somewhat shot, etc. etc. So please allow for differing stages on the diet. Juli ps. Also, there is so much to read, and we can forget!!! __________________________________________________
Guest guest
>Thank you Juli . I know I read somewhere that some nuts are OK. I have read mostly everything in the files, but as time goes by I tend to forget. I was feeling better, that is why I added the nuts. I think my problem came from the rasins. Thanks for your support. Guest guest
Dear Debby, I understand how you did not intend to offend anyone, and there is nothing wrong with being a straight shooter. The truth can sometimes wake people UP. lol! I agree with you that everyone should read the files, however I have found some people are either too sick or not good at reading as well. Sometimes we do need to help them through the information step by step. I know that Bee adds This person stated that they couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel yet they weren't following the diet - they clearly were not ready for a later stage of the diet. It occurred to me that they either didn't read the required reading or they didn't think the rules applied to them or that they could bend them. Sorry but to me if you don't follow the plan because you neglected to read up on it or thought you could bend the rules, I don't have much sympathy. To me I would be asking that person why they didn't read the rules thoroughly or why they cheated. I don't think it's very helpful to give a person like that a pat on the back - to me that is enabling. Everyone here has a choice of how they follow the plan to the letter, and that they read the required reading. If you make a bad choice please be an adult and take accountability for your own actions instead of blaming the diet you weren't following in the first place. Guest guest
I agree with you Debby. People can help themselves too. Compassion and understanding go a long ways however.
