Guest guest
Anita, Thanks for sharing, it really helps to know others can relate. This would explain my absent periods too huh? I actually don't miss them at all but I am sure to be caught off guard eventually. Then I will know for sure my hormones are starting to balance out though. I have eliminated all cruciferous veggies and am feeling MUCH better so I don't really want to treat this with meds if I don't have to. I spent the first 40 years of my life popping pills, the next 40 are going to be lived organically. Are there specific foods you need to avoid other than the brassicas? Or do the meds allow you to eat those types of foods? I was just reading in my Health Psychology book about the ill effects of too much lactic acid, which you get from fermented cabbage, causes muscle fatigue/weakness and also anxiety. This explains so much!!! You REALLY ARE what you eat. I will never look at food the same way after experiencing this particular panic attack. Thanks again for responding, it helped alot. Guest guest
Shirley - I don't really eat any cruciferous vegetables raw EXCEPT the cabbage in sauerkraut and it doesn't seem to affect me either way. When I was first sick though and had horrible panic attacks, I definitely wasn't consuming raw cruciferous vegetables or kraut at all but an awful lot of soy. If that helps you to eliminate them, nothing wrong with that. Glad to be of any help - you all help me a lot too. Before I was just a miserable weirdo who didn't know what was wrong with her and didn't think anyone in the world could comprehend! ~Anita Shirley G <chickwbrains@...> wrote: Anita, I have eliminated all cruciferous veggies and am feeling MUCH better so I don't really want to treat this with meds if I don't have to. Anita, doesn't it help to have an explanation for all the moodiness and symptoms? I find comfort in that and the fact that I can relate to everyone who chimes in to this group, we are all in this together. I feel bad for the people who don't know what they are suffering from. I have read reports that indicate close to 30 million people *could* have candida! That # is staggering! Shirley
Guest guest
Shirley - you know this doesn't surprise me. I feel like most members in my family and most of my friends have candida overgrowth from descriptions of the big problems or little nagging issues most seem to have. ~Anita Shirley G <chickwbrains@...> wrote: I have read reports that indicate close to 30 million people *could* have candida! Guest guest
I think a huge number have it too, but there's a lot of people that you can't convince. Nothing I can say will make them cut down on high carbs or even junk for that matter. On 11-Jun-06, at 12:29 AM, Anita P. Wagner wrote: > Shirley - you know this doesn't surprise me.
