Guest guest
thanks for the info on kombucha being okay for candida challengers!! i love it and have been avoiding it since beginning the diet, due to the fermented aspect, and having been warned to stay off it in the beginning phases of candida cleanse. i can get a prepared kombucha here, called GT's kombucha. it comes in a variety of flavors, as well as " original " which is just plain kombucha. anyone familiar with this brand? i've been drinking it off & on for the last two or three years and i love it. so does my fiancee. is it a good one? its not too sweet, but it is a little bit sweet. sometimes its really fizzy and other times pretty flat. i have a book on making it from scratch at home, really looking forward to trying that, but meanwhile i would love to save the time and support the GT company if its a good one... Guest guest
Ursina....what is BIO?? You made just a one liter brew with 2 tablespoons loose tea??? What is Black Tea four O'Clock Biologic?? Where the mother SCOBY resides is not important. Have you covered the brew? What with? Guest guest
Pyrex is fine in the microwave so I see no reason not to use it for Kombucha. zoe > I had no idea Pyrex was unsuitable for Kombucha. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Metal should not be around KT for very long. Avoid lead glass and corelle dishes. I think Pyrex is okay. I don't use it though. To Your Health, ann --- griphynne13 <griphynne13@...> wrote: > I had no idea Pyrex was unsuitable for Kombucha. Guest guest
Hi everyone! Sorry if I did not answer before but I just got out of the hospital yesterday. This morning I looked at by Kombucha and it is now floating in the middle. I see like a translucid vale floating on top with what seems like air bubbles all around it. Also the bottom part of the kombucha seems to be separating. Is this a good sign? Buy the way, just before I left for the hospital I had time to change the kombucha into a fruit bowl just perfect. But did not have time to put it in ordinary tea. I guess it was okay. Thank you for your reply. Have a nice holliday. Guest guest
Hello Ursina, Hopefully you are doing well. Your description of your KT brewing sounds perfectly normal. The scobys separate so that you can start another jar or share with someone else interested in good taste and good health. Happy Brewing ) ann --- ursina77 <ursina77@...> wrote: > Hi everyone! > > Sorry if I did not answer before but I just got out > of the hospital > yesterday. > > This morning I looked at by Kombucha and it is now > floating in the > middle. Guest guest
Sorry Zoe if I did not give the informations as were was saying not to use Pyrex, since it is a french site: http://www.cfaitmaison.com/kombucha/kombucha-boisson.html It is written right under the kombucha container. Ursina p.s.: From all I have read on different french and english sites, there are many contredictions. Very confusing to learn what is good or not. I guess one as to experiment it to really know. Will not ask anymore question. Sorry I heaven asked! Ursina Have yourself a Very Merry Christmas PEACE AND LOVE to you all. cam > > > > >> I had no idea Pyrex was unsuitable for Kombucha. > > I > > >> have my scoby > > >> hotel in a large Pyrex bowl. > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > > removed] > > > > > > > > ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ > Be a better friend, newshound, and > know-it-all with Mobile.
