So as far as I know, I believe it is okay to eat but > obviously if it affects you when you have done, you have to listen > to what your body is saying. ==>No matter what the GI value is all grains, beans, peas, legumes act just like sugar in the body. You will find that if you do not have humus you will do much better. Check out safer snacks in our recipe files. Instead of snacking take another tablespoon of coconut oil. > I too thought about starting the Candida diet after the Christmas > holidays rather than in mid-November, but I'm glad I started it > earlier - otherwise I dread to think about the amount of sugar and > yeast I would have put in my stomach with the normal Christmas food. Yikes! ==>That was an excellent decision Mike! You are much better off because of it. > > ps I've decided to lose the oats from my diet altogether. Drink water with lemon & sea salt or take another tablespoon of coconut oil which requires very little digestive energy. If you eat enough good saturated fats with your meals you will be more satisfied longer - see the ratios of protein to fat to carb in the Candida Diet Folder. Bee P.S. Mike, would you please trim your messages - see the Group Info Folder on how to do it and why. Thanks a bunch!
