I fry on very low heat - about 2.5 or 3 on the stove dial. ==>You get the same benefits if it is not heated above 375 degrees F. >> Would the amount used for frying count for the amount of coconut we're to have that day? (eg, I'm on 3 teaspoons a day right now, If I fry with it, should I take less in my raw egg drink)? Does the same apply to butter? ==>Some of the oil will be absorbed in the food you are frying in, and if you pour what's in the pan over the food you can count it. The same with butter. > > If we don't get the same benefits, is it ok to use grape seed oil > sometimes which is supposed to be ok at high temperatures? ==>Never use any kind of vegetable oil to cook with except extra virgin olive oil mixed with butter half and half. You can also use bacon drippings or lard to cook with. I have mixed butter and CO together to fry, but it is cheaper to use bacon fat. You should be avoid using grape seed oil and and all other seed, nut and vegetable oils except small amounts of sesame seed oil in salad dressings or mayo. Most contain only omega-6, and there is plenty of it in the diet from other sources, so it imbalances omega-3. Bee >
Guest guest
OK, this is all helpful to know. Anyone know when I would reach 375 degrees? If I fry on medium is that ok or should I stick to low? Guest guest
my stove doesn't have numbers on it so that wouldn't help me. If I'm cooking something that I feel I really need to monitor the temp. of I use a cooking thermometer or a meat thermomter to check the temp. jackie > > > > OK, this is all helpful to know.
