Guest guest
I think the key things for me are feeling so tired and run down during the day that it's hard to keep awake, then having trouble getting to sleep at night; having fitful sleep and really weird dreams (I'm not sure if they are actually weird or if I'm just seeing them that way); intestines growling a lot and generating large amounts of gas; a general feeling of " blah " that includes my liver, pancreas area and/or neck and throat hurting; eyes burning a lot; " brain fog " and no attention span and inability to remember and concentrate. There may be a few more but I can't remember them at the moment. :-) Zack On Thu, 8 Jul 2004, youngjaem wrote: > I feel the same way you do but for me dandruff will get bad and also > i'll get a sore throat > > > > I was just wondering how people know if your candida is acting up? > > Whats signs do I look for. Guest guest
Hi Ethan, I haven't been using rejuvelac or cultured vegetables. I do eat a lot of fresh vegetables each day. They are just coming in season around here now and I can buy them from farmers' stands when they've just been picked. Great stuff! I've been taking probiotics I bought at a local vitamin store. They are in gelatin capsules. Zack On Fri, 9 Jul 2004, Ethan Kur wrote: > zack, youngjaem and ohhthisloveis - I was wondering how much rejuvelac and > cultured vegetables you eat/consume each day? Guest guest
Hi, My stomach is my weakest link, so when my stomach hurts my candida is acting up. I also get bloated, have headaches and my liver hurts. Sometimes I get joint and muscle pains, and I have difficulty sleeping. Last night I didn't get to sleep until 5:00 AM and had to call in to work sick. Also the floaters in my left eye increase to the point of becoming annoying. Same for me; I nap during the day and I never used to do that. Sometimes I go to bed at 10 or 11, and usually I went to bed at 1 or 2--I am a night bird. My sleep is usually good but my dreams seem to be more vivid. I have less gas since I started the diet and stopped eating cereals, but still more than normal. I have slight pains in my bones/muscles/neck and occasional liver pains. I cant walk for more than 10 minutes without having to pay the price the next day . The brain fog is not so bad since I started the diet but my mental capacities are not at the top and I am more forgetful than usual. That'sthe normal state. These symptoms get worse on bad days when I have a lot of mucus and white strings in my BM. By the way, candida is aptly named because, whether its the coating on the tongue or the strings in BM, its all pure white. Francine
Guest guest
Wow thats how I get too! Also really spacey and short term memory loss..........I will lose stuff like my keys 5 times during the day. I also have a lot of anxiety attacks and I will have some light headed/ balance problems. All of this usually happens if I have been really stressed and not eating right for a week or so........than it will all hit me at once. Really bad is red skin rash and a strange body odor. -------------- Original message -------------- I think the key things for me are feeling so tired and run down during the day that it's hard to keep awake, then having trouble getting to sleep at night; having fitful sleep and really weird dreams (I'm not sure if they are actually weird or if I'm just seeing them that way); intestines growling a lot and generating large amounts of gas; a general feeling of " blah " that includes my liver, pancreas area and/or neck and throat hurting; eyes burning a lot; " brain fog " and no attention span and inability to remember and concentrate. Guest guest
It'a getting better, but the worst happened a few weeks ago. I was talking to my boss on the phone about a couple things he wanted me to do. I started writing the first one down while he was talking. Then he said to try to get both of them done tomorrow. I said " What two things, I thought there was just one. " He said " You better go take more vitamins. " :-) Zack On Fri, 9 Jul 2004 jeannekrieg@... wrote: > Wow thats how I get too! Guest guest
Hi everyone. I am very glad to learn that all of these assorted symptoms are actually coming from the same cause--candida! I too am experiencing most of the same things. Somehow I find it reassuring to now have a name for the culprit. Makes it easier to cope. Silly, I know. What causes the floaters in the eyes? I've been trying to figure this out since I first noticed them in my eyes 3 months ago. I didn't realize they could be due to candida.... Kim M. Guest guest
Wow Zack. That's incredible that you were so spaced out you didn't get that your boss wanted two things. But you must have a great boss to say " you better go take more vitamins " eh? If you have a great boss it can make all the difference in the world. It's a matter of their viewpoint isn't it? Guest guest
Dear Kim, About floaters in the eyes. I don't know the mechanisms that cause them. I only know they are very prevalent in candida sufferers. They will lessen and then totally disappear when the candida is cured. Guest guest
I get these floaters too -- mainly in the left eye. I noticed that they've been disappearing lately. Its probably due to the anti candida diet. I feel so run down today. I bet you its die off or maybe its something I ate. Oh well, I have faith that I'll get over this soon thanks to all of you guys. Have a nice day!
Guest guest
Interesting! I have been trying to determine just how long I've had a candida overgrowth. I've had those floaters for about 10 years. The other symptoms that I associate with candida go back maybe 5 years. So it could be there was an overgrowth starting as far back as 10 years, but not major until more recently. Zack On Sat, 10 Jul 2004, Bee wrote: > Dear Kim, > > About floaters in the eyes. Guest guest
That's great that your floaters have been disappearing lately. Mine come and go too and but seem to be less and less as time goes on. Hang in there. Some days are good and some are bad eh? Keep on doing what you are doing. It seems to be working for you. You have a nice day too! Bee > I get these floaters too -- mainly in the left eye. I noticed that > they've been disappearing lately. Its probably due to the anti > candida diet. Guest guest
Dear Zack, It can be comforting to you when you pinpoint how long you've had candida because according to Hering's law of cures it takes one month of natural healing for every year. So 10 months to cure your candida isn't very long is it? Bee > Interesting! I have been trying to determine just how long I've had a > candida overgrowth. Guest guest
hey everybody, this is an interesting discussion. we are all so similar in some of these symptoms! i get the eye floaters! and the circles under the eyes too. people are always telling me i look tired, or asking me if i'm okay. yeah, i know, real good for the self esteem... :-) i am spacey, have trouble speaking, that's really annoying. i wrote to ethan a while back, that before i got the clue to test myself for candida, i was really having trouble with my words. pretty scary when you lose the ablility to communicate effectively and intelligently. i forget the word i'm looking for by the time i reach the end of my sentence. so my sentences trail off into " uhhhh, the uhhhhh, the thing " . i just end up saying " the thing " a lot. " the thing " can be a noun, verb, adjective, its ridiculous, just so i can finish the sentence! oh i long for the days when i can speak intelligently again! at least i'm aware that candida can cause this, because before i was scared i was getting an early case of alsheimers or something (i'm only 35!) i have serious digestive troubles, that's a major one, and major itching in private parts. i got very physically exhausted once i began the candida program, that got better for a while, last week i was feeling very tired once again. so i'm realising it will be coming and going as i stick to this program. i've been faithfully following diet for at least 2 1/2 months now. no fruit except lemons & occasional lime, no potatoes or grains or gluten in any form, no sweeteners except stevia. my digestive problem varys between constipation w/ gas and then loose stools. this past week it was okay for a few days in a row (this is good progress!), now yesterday and today its back on the bad cycle of being too stuck, then too loose. my abdomen is very gurgly and noisy, its been like that for years. i'm checking into other possible sources of this extra digestive trouble. a friend has put my attention to a possible bacterial overgrowth in addition to the candida overgrowth. http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.com. NOTE:some of the dietary recommendations DO NOT correspond with our candida program. i am only just beginning to look at this as a possible explanation for my troubles, and i still go by our dietary protocol here, i may to incorporate some of the recommendations for the bacteria problem without going against what we do here. i've gone through some major changes & experimentations in dietary approaches in the last few years, so i know i've done a number on myself and my poor exhausted digestive system. i'm prepared for a long haul to re-stablize my insides. on a good note: my allergies and dry skin problems are much less severe since beginning the diet. and i'm very blessed to have a supportive and understanding fiancee, which is a world of good for me. best to all ~ suz
Guest guest
wow, I get dark cirlces under my eyes as well. I noticed they've been slowly clearing up since I've been on the anti candida diet. I also used to have problems with my speech. This is crazy how bad these candida symptoms can get. I wonder how long it takes for candida to attack to this extent? Guest guest
Candida can be wrecking it's havoc for many years without us realizing what is causing the many problems we are experiencing. I had candida for 25 years, and probably longer, before I started the candida program. It doesn't take very long for candida to start creating problems - 2-3 months, which is what has happened recently with my 2nd bout of candida. Bee > wow, I get dark cirlces under my eyes as well. Guest guest
Dear Lesley, Welcome to our group out of luckdom. We'd love to hear from you more often. Losing the ability to communicate can be a big problem with candida, but it is good to know the cause, eh? As you progress through the candida program your speech will get better and better. Just think about how impressed your family and friends are going to be that you've suddenly become more intelligent. lol!
