Guest guest
You're amazing Ms. Baysfit! I was just thinking along those lines myself today. Only I was thinking smaller -- just creating different files on my own desktop -- because I was trying to remember the Kombucha Tea recipe; We have so many messages that start with that subject line that it's a lot of work to find the actual recipe.. Your idea is much better because it's more useful and accessible. If you wanted to head up the project and do the computer finagling, I'd help out with editing. Since we're all sick and have other work piled up to our ears it would be nice and more fun if everyone who could would pitch in a bit with ideas. So I hope you decide to head up this project. Some ideas: I think we might want to add other categories as well as recipes. Some of our journal ideas would be nice. Or coping tips for example. I mean as long as we're going back through the old messages and keeping up with the new ones we might as well cut and paste ideas from each area of interest. These main topics may simply evolve once we go back through... Maybe you could just start going through from the beginning of the group and see what kind of template evolves. Once a template is set-up with all the different categories anybody could come in and take turns filing so it doesn't become too much work for someone. I sort of see my strength as taking the pieces you've cut and pasted into relevant files putting them together in a cohesive way that is subject to the approval of Bee and the group. The only problem is that if I help with this project I need someone else to help Bee with the moderator position. It's absolutely no work it's just that I don't want it to be the " Robin Show " if you know what I mean. I'm here to learn just like we all are. It sounds like you can set this thing up efficiently and smart so it's not a lot of work. Again, it seems like you're the natural one to be the boss and set-up how we use the other sections of this site -- like a library. Again, if someone else will volunteer to take over the little job for Bee, I'll help go through the mails with Baysfit. Let's see what happens, ~Robin _____ From: baysfit [mailto:baysfit@...] Sent: Tuesday, June 15, 2004 3:46 PM Subject: [ ] Contribute a Recipie? Hi Everyone Here's an Idea... As I said before I have read so many excellent ideas and tips in past messages. Unfortunately as there are now so many messages, they are getting hidden away. I would hate to have these 'gems' go missing so I thought it would be nice if we could start an Anti- Candida recipe collection. If we keep it on one thread it will be much simplerto access. Also I am happy to cut and paste them into a document(s) and then upload them into the file section (don't worry Bee, I'll e-mail you a copy to overcome your viewing problem) I know a recipe collection would certainly help me and just think we could eventually make it into a book!!! Here are the sections I was thinking... -Juices -Drinks (i.e. the Dandelion and Burdock recipe), detox tea's etc -Meals (perhaps breakfast, lunches, dinners, snacks) -Meals on the run (Hmm run! perhaps poor choice of words but you know what I mean, (i.e. out and about, traveling etc)) To keep it simple I thought we could use the following format... Section (ie breakfast. However, if you're like me and eat breakfasts that look like dinner just call it anytime, or leave blank) Name of meal/drink (if you have one) or brief description Your name Recipe (you could also include a website URL for any unusual or difficult to get hold of substances) If anyone wants to expand on this idea please do. I'd love to hear your thoughts. All the best, Baysfit
Guest guest
yes, i'm agreeing... i'd be happy and honored to help out. what does it take to be a moderator? if i'm qualified, and have the right timing for it, i'd love to do that for this group. i can certainly help with recipes, and some message filing, if nothing else! Bee, what do you think about these new ideas? what an inspiration you have created! rock on everybody! ~ susan/suz/chefuz > You're amazing Ms. Baysfit! Guest guest
He Suz! Chef! ! This group is terrific! I can't thank you all enough. I'll make you a moderator tonight before I go to bed - okay . But I'm not going to delete Robin yet. Okay? Guest guest
Dear Bee, Robin, Chefsuz and all, Yeah I agree this forum is great! Im having a great time and would you believe it's 2pm here and I am still in my PJ's!. I have been sat at my computer since 7am! Before I discovered this forum I had no idea what they even were. Now I am loving it and learning LOADS of cool stuff about my computer and the internet. It's an exciting learning curve. Thanks all for being here. I have been quite busy and have created some recipe folders in the 'Database' section (see left hand side). The are designed so that everyone can contribute so please do.(Just follow the directions) Thanks for all the encouragement everyone. It's much appreciated. Robin, we must meet someday, we are so alike, we could chat for ages.I think it would be awesome if you could edit the content. You sound like you could do a great job of it too. When I created the files I took the option for all moderators to have the power to edit. I couldn't find an additional option so to have access you will need to remain a moderator.I think that's what Bee wanted anyway. Any additional feed back is welcome (ie about the title heading, etc) otherwise go for it. Lots of yummy candida killing recipes please. All the best, Baysfit

Guest guest
Excellent and ditto about things in common. I think you must be my spiritual daughter or something. For example how many girls do I know who rode motocross? None. (By the way, I also had street bikes and if I can get my strength and wits back I'd like to maybe get something smooth and nimble -- a Triumph with an mechanic attached? (joke) I'm finally out of downtown and have all these incredible country roads up here.) Anyway, back to my story: I never had children of my own; I didn't get married until I was 36 as I was having entirely too much fun doing live TV shows all over the place. Since I was the oldest of a lot of kids spaced really close in age I was always ALWAYS taking care of kids. I figured I'd probably have some one day but I wasn't in any big hurry and then I just ended up " inheriting " two lovely grown daughters and so now I have grandkids which is extremely nice. Also the daughters are both writers. One's a book critic for a big magazine. My best friend (across the street) writes a mystery series for Time-Warner. Anyway, I have decent contacts (or just information) if you want to consider turning the project into a book. It's a great idea you might want to develop; All you have to do is look at any medical message board site and you'll see the hottest ones are always Candida -- sick confused folks like us wanting information and personal " coping " stories. There's your market and hey, working at a computer is gentle and will keep you out of the bars!
