Guest guest
Dear Suz, The recipe for clove tea is to boil 4 1/2 cups of water. Remove from the heat, add 2 level teaspoons of ground cloves and steep for 20 minutes. Strain and drink hot or cold. The best, Bee > what's the method for making clove tea? i bought fresh ground cloves > in bulk. now, how much do i use per serving? > > i made one batch last week , it was SO strong and bitter i couldn't > really drink it. Guest guest
i make it just by decocting the cloves whole (decocting == " boiling the heck out of " ) indeed, it is bitter! that's how you know it's good for you. -katja At 08:51 PM 6/29/2004, you wrote: >what's the method for making clove tea? i bought fresh ground cloves >in bulk. now, how much do i use per serving? > >i made one batch last week , it was SO strong and bitter i couldn't >really drink it. Guest guest
> > Bee, > IIs it ok to use the clove oil drops and add hot water to make tea? > How many drops to a cup? ==>The problem is that clove oil does not disperse in water, not even hot water, so it floats to the top. Guest guest
So what do we do with the recommended clove oil? I just ordered some to make clove tea. Also Bee, I've got Now brand vitamin A and it is made from fish liver oil. I can't seem to find the halibut where I live. Is this OK? I just ordered some to make clove tea. ==>You couldn't make clove tea with clove oil because it won't mix in water; you take clove oil by the drop. Start with 1 drop 3 times a day gradually increasing to 3 drops 3 times a day. You can take it in olive or coconut oil, or put it in the bottom of a small juice glass, add warm to hot water and down it before it starts collecting at the top. Or you can put drops in gelatin capsules. Also Bee, I've got Now brand vitamin A and it is made from fish liver oil. I can't seem to find the halibut where I live. Is this OK? ==>Yes, it's okay. Guest guest
When I take my daily dose of oregano oil I put 3 drops on a tsp. of salsa and swollow it. At first your mouth stings a bit then it goes away, I find it works to kill and food cravins I have a the time. I'm pretty sure you could do the same with the clove oil. What do you think Bee? Good or bad idea? Maddalena , I remember reading in the files that you can put drops of it in a spoonful of oil and take it that way. Guest guest
Hi Bee, Did you drink the clove tea as well as the other tea we are supposed to be drinking every day? Do you still take antifungals or do we get to a stage where we no longer need them? I had someone ask me the other day if I am following the diet and not eating foods that the Candida can survive on, then why do I need antifungals. I did not know how to answer this so I just said because I was told too. :-) Les ==>No, there are plenty of antioxidants and phytochemicals in the diet and supplements recommended. The very best antioxidant is coconut oil, as well as vitamin C, etc., etc. In fact when you start on antifungals the highest antioxidant of any herbs is clove oil - see the article about it which contains a comparison chart. That's why I recommend clove tea to help your body detoxify. That's what I drank when I cured my candida - I had 4-5 cups per day.

Yes, you can. > > Do you still take antifungals or do we get to a stage where we no longer need them? ==>When you are cured you do not need antifungals, but all the steps of the program and done at the same time once you are able to start on probiotics. > I had someone ask me the other day if I am following the diet and > not eating foods that the Candida can survive on, then why do I need > antifungals. I did not know how to answer this so I just said because I was told too. :-) ==>You're fighting a war Les. Candida still grows and feeds off of any carbs so you need to keep up the battle until your immune system is strong enough to keep candida in check, and at the same time implant good bacteria in the gut. Candida feeds off any foods (proteins & fats) but to a much lesser degree than carbs. You can't cut off all nutrients in order to stop candida from growing, so it is hugh war until you win with a strong immune system. Will this detoxify in the same way as the tea? If so, how much powder would be equivalent to 4 cups of tea? Thanks, Anita T.

Will this detoxify in the same way as the tea? If so, how much powder would be equivalent to 4 cups of tea? ==>Yes it will help detoxify. There are 2 level teaspoons of clove spice for 4 1/2 cups of tea, but that would be very strong to add to Bee's drink. Bee
