Guest guest
hi bee and friends i've been doing the diet for about a month now. but only recently REALLY getting pure with it (ie: no goat yogurt or goat cheese in my salads which i was having 3 or 3 times per week). tried kefir but i don't think it agrees with me. i'm taking betaine HCI with each meal, each meal containing protein & veggies (sometimes a salad, sometimes cooked, sometimes both). butter on steamed veggies, and celtic sea salt. coconut oil after each meal when i'm at home. i eat cayenne on everything! when i'm out i order the plainest salad (with protein like grilled chicken or salmon) or entree i can find, no dressings or sauces, just olive oil & lemon wedges please. a snack is germinated & dehydrated seed crackers (mixed sunflower, sesame & flax with garlic & sea salt). they are from mauk family farms, still " raw " and very very tasty!! are these okay right now for me, bee? or i'm soaking my own walnuts & almonds with celtic sea salt & then drying in the gas oven with just the heat of the pilot light. i make a green juice once per day about 5 days out of the week, with fresh garlic & ginger & dandelion in it (and cuke, celery, parsley, cilantro, lemon too). i'm taking vitamin c w/ bioflavanoids in the form of calcium ascorbate, around 2000 mg/day, and a hi-stress b complex every other day or so - no bad ingredients. i have pau d'arco tea, every other day or so, but haven't gotten my routine down with that yet! i do drink yerba mate tea in the morning, to help combat the extreme tiredness. then i switch to herbal tea for the rest of the day. i've been taking grapefruit seed extract about once or twice per day. was taking an acidophilus (the bottle broke so i don't have the ingredient list), but i stopped when i read that it doesn't help if there's still alot of candida inside the pipes. i'm going to buy cabbage today and begin rejuvelac-ing, and i got some ground cloves which i will try as tea this evening. haven't had much die off feelings (aside from the first couple of days on the diet, with acidophilus & grapefruit seed extract). got nauseated & brain foggy. i still have my candida symptoms, so i'm ready to step it up a level with the clove tea, rejuvelac, and will start on pau d'arco daily. i am just so tired all the time! i look tired. my wedding is in a month and i want to feel vibrant!! thanks bee, and everyone ~ suz

Guest guest
Hey Chef Suz, My you do have it great being a cook. Again you make my mouth water. >>>>>i've been doing the diet for about a month now. but only recently REALLY getting pure with it (ie: no goat yogurt or goat cheese in my salads which i was having 3 or 3 times per week). tried kefir but i don't think it agrees with me. ===>Good for you. You'll only know when you try getting off goat products and if kefir doesn't agree it's not good at this time. Even now I can't handle very much store bought kefir at a time. Maybe one day I will make it the right way. lo? >>>>>i'm taking betaine HCI with each meal, each meal containing protein & veggies (sometimes a salad, sometimes cooked, sometimes both). butter on steamed veggies, and celtic sea salt. coconut oil after each meal when i'm at home. i eat cayenne on everything! ====>Good plan Chef. Does your Hcl contain pepsin too? I'm learning that pepsin is quite important, and it fact it makes Hcl in the stomach. I originally thought cayenne was good, and it may be good for you too, but recently I learned that it contains a " natural aspirin " which may not help with candida. That's new information to me. >>>>a snack is germinated & dehydrated seed crackers (mixed sunflower, sesame & flax with garlic & sea salt). they are from mauk family farms, still " raw " and very very tasty!! are these okay right now for me, bee? or i'm soaking my own walnuts & almonds with celtic sea salt & then drying in the gas oven with just the heat of the pilot light. ====>Maybe think about whether the gas from the stove is getting into the nuts - I'm not sure. Air drying can take a long time. The crackers sound like tasty treats. Yum. Whether they are okay depends upon how many you eat and how you respond to them. Do you soak the seeds too? >>>>i make a green juice once per day about 5 days out of the week, with fresh garlic & ginger & dandelion in it (and cuke, celery, parsley, cilantro, lemon too). ====>Sounds great Chef. Is there enough garlic to act as an antifungal for you? >>>>i'm taking vitamin c w/ bioflavanoids in the form of calcium > ascorbate, around 2000 mg/day, and a hi-stress b complex every other day or so - no bad ingredients. ===>That's good too. >>>>>i have pau d'arco tea, every other day or so, but haven't gotten my routine down with that yet! i do drink yerba mate tea in the morning, to help combat the extreme tiredness. then i switch to herbal tea for the rest of the day. ===>Is yerba mate a herbal non-decaffeinated tea? >>>>i've been taking grapefruit seed extract about once or twice per day. was taking an acidophilus (the bottle broke so i don't have the > ingredient list), but i stopped when i read that it doesn't help if > there's still alot of candida inside the pipes. ===>Interesting that the bottle of acidophilus would say that. Was it liquid or powder? Do you feel you still have " a lot of candida? " Because you do take acidophilus at a different time than antifungals - it's like kill the enemy and then bring in the peace corp (probiotics); and keep repeating it 3-4 times a day. >>>>i'm going to buy cabbage today and begin rejuvelac-ing, and i got some ground cloves which i will try as tea this evening. ===>I'd be interested in how the rejuvelac goes for you. >>>>>haven't had much die off feelings (aside from the first couple of days on the diet, with acidophilus & grapefruit seed extract). got nauseated & brain foggy. ===>Clove tea helps alleviate die-off too, so does extra vit. c and B vitamins. >>>>i still have my candida symptoms, so i'm ready to step it up a level with the clove tea, rejuvelac, and will start on pau d'arco daily. ====>Good plan. You should do well the way you are going Chef. >>>i am just so tired all the time! i look tired. ===>Have you considered doing the nifty " dry skin brushing " to stimulate your adrenals? And Epsom salt or salt baths to pull out toxins thorough your largest organ, the skin? Or have you ventured into doing an enema. It was unbelievable to me how much better they made me feel. First I did the nystatin enema (you could make the garlic tea and use that), about 3-4 days later the coffee one and 3-4 days after that the acidophilus. They are trully rejuvenating. >>>>my wedding is in a month and i want to feel vibrant!! ===>Wow! Congratulations my friend. How exciting for you. I want to to feel vibrant too. Write directly to me if you wish, on anything. Okay? Warm regards, Bee
Guest guest
BEE! thanks for your individual answers to all my comments - wow!! here's my responses _______________________________________ bee wrote: >You'll only know when you try getting off goat >products and if kefir doesn't agree it's not good at this time. ======> yes, cow dairy (except butter) doesn't do well for me, so i wasn't really surprised that the kefir seemed to cause discomfort. i'm fine without the goat cheese, it was a new thing for me anyway, so i'm not attached! and butter is such a delicious re-discovery, i'm loving it! _______________________ bee wrote: > Does your Hcl contain pepsin too? Yum. Whether they are okay > depends upon how many you eat and how you respond to them. Do you > soak the seeds too? ======> yes, they are soaked and germinated (just beginning to sprout) before being crisped in the dehydrator. i don't make these, i buy them, they are a great convenience food. i try not to eat too much at one time, i don't feel any reaction to them. maybe an amount equal to an area the size of my palm, or a palm and a half. in general, are soaked nuts and seeds okay for a beginning candida program? i'd like to make pumpkin seeds this way too for snacking. ____________________________ bee wrote: > Is there enough garlic (in the green juice) to act as an > antifungal for you? ======> i put one med-large clove of garlic in each juice. probably not enough to do a whole lot, but more than that and i reek!! ____________________________ bee wrote: > Is yerba mate a herbal non-decaffeinated tea? ======> it is an herb, a green bush grown in the rainforests of paraguay & argentina (check out www.guayaki.com). there is a mild stimulant quality to it, but its not the same as caffeine. i have loved and been drinking this tea for over ten years now. i drink it very watered down, but i do love it! i believe its really a good herb. ______________________________ bee wrote: > Interesting that the bottle of acidophilus would say that (it won't work if there is still lots of candida in the body). (as opposed to on the bottle of acidophilus). mine is a powder. i DO feel like i still must be teeming with candida. i'm really tired, people tell me i look tired (its been foggy here 5 or 6 days straight, which isn't helping). i am still having digestive troubles regularly. i'll be fine for a day or two, then i get constipation & gas. i tried mega doses of vitamin c on sunday, it worked very well, but its still a bummer to get this problem so often. that is a great lesson on acidpohilus/anti-fungal timing. maybe i'll try it again, taking them at different times as you recommend! i do skin brush, but not regularly, same with salt baths, but i love them both. i think i'm due for an enema. i've never done one, but all i hear is good things. i'll check more into that tomorrow. just made my first clove tea. wow! strong! i'll have to check the recipe for that. is it normally really bitter upon first sipping? thanks again bee, nite nite ~ suz
