Dear Anne,

You checked to be sure United Parcel Service doesn't irradiate their

packages, right?

bee & anne

do you NEED cultures to make it? isn't it as simple as brewing a

strong organic black tea and adding white sugar & letting it do its

thing?

Dear ,

I don't know for sure, but aren't cultures supposed to be active?

Irradiating them will kill them. It's the same as microwaving -

anything microwaved or irradiated. If you eat/drink it damages the

blood cells.

My friend's son had a " live blood cell analysis " done and the doctor

interpreting it for them said his blood cells were mishapened because

he ate things that were microwaved. admitted he zapped his

tomato soup.

i will dig out my book on kombucha and find the recipe and post it

here soon.

i'm pretty sure it works the same way making rejuvelac works. if you

let the tea sit on the counter and ferment, it becomes a live

culture! (like kefir or lacto fermented veggies)

regarding shippers, that is such a bummer that some are irradiating

packages. we must definitely be careful with that!

live blood anaylsis is really cool, i had it done a few years back,

it was amazing to see my own blood cells! the one part that was not

cool was that the practitioner was associated with some supplement

company, so she gave me this presription afterwards for all sorts of

supplements. i didn't buy any.

my white blood cells were mis-shaped, but i never microwave any of my

foods. they looked like " coke bottle caps " with the scalloped edges,

instead of being nice and round. it was explained to me that they

were not re-assimilating into the blood (after they die) as fast as

they should, and that they were floating around in there making

things more sluggish. wierd!

thanks bee :)
