Guest guest
Hi - Somehow I've just lost my garlic press which I had been using daily for my fresh garlic. Until, i get a new one it it okay for me to be slicing the raw garlic and eating it on my salads that way? Does this release all the good stuff like pressing does? Also if I roast garlic sometimes, does this still contain any of the benefits of the raw just in a lesser form or do I lose them completely? Thanks for your input! Guest guest
Hi Trish: Garlic that has gone through a garlic press is too strong for me - causes a terrible wave of nausea immediately after swollowing, so I simply crush a clove as flat as possible with a heavy knife, then slice it and swallow. This should be a good second choice to pressing. Of course if you can stand chewing it, that should do the trick as well.
