Guest guest
hi dear group its your old friend suz, aka chefsuz if you've read the recipes in the files at the left... its been a while but i'm back! my husband and i have just moved from southern california to brooklyn ny, quite a change! i'm looking forward to getting invloved again with this group, i'm so happy to see all the new members, and that the old familiar names are still here as well. my quick story: i had a wicked case of candida symptoms in the couple of months leading up to my wedding this past summer. i met bee on-line during my candida research and she has hugely instrumental in my healing process, as was this group. i'm type o, i avoid gluten and i love coconut oil! it is a wonder food, i would highly recommend giving it a try, but start with a small amount (1 teaspoon) and not on an empty stomach - its potent! it will cause " die off " . look for organic 'extra virgin' when possible. a great place to get a good bargain is nutiva.com. it won't make you gain weight, the body absorbs it and converts it to instant energy, it doesn't get stored as fat! it can acutally increase your metabolism. i have eaten up to 4 & 5 tablespoons an day with no ill effects. yum! i also love the cabbage rejuvelac, i'm going to start making it again, it is another wonder food. " die-off " can be so unpleasant, i felt worse before i felt better once i started on the anti-candida diet outlined here. but this plan really works. its good common sense, but it can be hard to " swallow " at first, because of all the conflicitng nutrition information we've heard in the last 10 years. also, i'm a big fan of w.a. price foundation and the nourishing traditions cookbook (by sally fallon and mary enig). i've learned so much. well my dears, i look forward to being involved again! happy weekend to all! ~ suz
