I tried the SC diet a couple of years ago and did very well on it, clearing up my stomach problems. However I was unable to maintain the diet, and went back to a no-gluten-only diet, which I tried to maintain for more than a year, less successful as time went on. I had sensed the yogurt on the SC diet had been helpful, but since I was off the SC diet, I had stopped making it.. I tried kefir, which appeared to make my many and various symptoms worse, it was only a one week try. I sense, after consuming the yogurt, that my digestion is better. It has never made me feel sick or that I've consumed something not good for me. While on the no-gluten diet, I drank milk with no digestive problem, as long as I kept the amount somewhat low. If I drank more than a cup, I noticed a slight digestive upset, but never had a problem with less than a cup at a time. Milk has often had a calming effect on me.
