Guest guest
Hi Ellen, Sounds good, BUT... I'm allergic to the wheat. Does it offer a subsition for the flour? Tammy : )
Guest guest
All of the breakfast suggestions below contain starches that feed yeast. I'd recommend a protein breakfast. What might be an example of a " protein breakfast " ? I cannot see myself sitting down to a slab of steak for breakfast. Examples would be appreciated. Guest guest
Congratulations on making it thru the first week! That was the hardest for me. I thought I was going to die. Living 34 years being able to eat whatever I wanted was a hard mindset to break. Can you have yogurt? I'm gluten intolerant too. Really makes things a big pain in the ass doesn't it? lol. Plain yogurt with sugar/alcohol free vanilla extract, plain cinnamon, and, if you like it - a few drops of stevia extract. If you don't like stevia, you can use splenda but it may not be as great as " they " say it is. This is a pretty good breakfast. I've also had scrambled eggs, veggie omelet with no cheese, cucumbers (especially great in the summer), avacado/tomato/fresh garlic/olive oil/lemon juice, carob almonds (if carob is ok - I'm still not sure of that), almonds, sunflower seeds. Once you've gotten things under some control, you can try millet bread. Almond butter is really good on that! Breakfast has been the hardest thing for me for sure. I've been on a candida diet for almost 6 months and now its not that big a deal because I'm not ravenous like I used to be so I don't want a huge breakfast. Sometimes I just have a cup a green tea or this chicory blend if I'm in the mood for something richer. As far as the sugar cravings, those yeast really get pissed when you start starving them and really come on strong trying to trick you into feeding them. Be Strong!! You can do it! I was taking Gymnestra Sylvestre to help with the sugar cravings and I think it helped. I don't know how else I got thru it. A cold glass of water with lots of lemon and lime squirted into it helped me get over my cravings too. I just sipped on it thru out the day, adding more ice as it warmed up. I don't know why, but it worked for me. -- " My dog isn't stubborn, he's just smarter than me! Guest guest
I am not a morning person. I get up for work each day and rush to get out the door on time. I always eat breakfast at my desk at work. Oatmeal is out. What can I do for breakfast besides boiled eggs and no access to a stove? I don't want to get up any earlier as I really need my sleep. I also enjoy eating a little later in the morning - I eat less that way too. Suggestions are welcome!
Guest guest
if you can overcome the attachment to " breakfast foods " for breakfast you'll be all set. make an extra portion of dinner to take for breakfast. try a glass lined thermos of stew or hearty soup. or if yoyu like sweet flavors in the morning take a thermos with bee's egg drink (in the recipe files). sometimes i don't even bother with having to re-heat things. i don't mind eating cold leftovers form the day before. if you like eggs for breakfast what about making some egg salad using homemade mayo? or make a frittata and take a slice to work, make it just large enough that it will last you three days max. that way it won't get too old before you finish it. just a few off the top of my head. ~ suz > I am not a morning person. Guest guest
I like the thermos idea. It might require me getting up a little earlier (yuck), but it might work. It is going to be tough for me to overcome my attachment to " breakfast foods " . *sigh* What is frittata and how do you make it? Is it in the recipe files?
