Guest guest
Trish - I am so glad you asked this. This has happened to me too. Now it is around 32+ day cycle and it used to be more " normal " at 28. I just got my period today but this longer cycle is new for me too. Wonder why.. ~Anita Trisha Mountan <tmountan@...> wrote: Hi Bee and everyone - I was wondering if candida or the healing process can cause changes in the menstrual cycle. --------------------------------- Get amazing travel prices for air and hotel in one click on FareChase
Guest guest
> > Hi Bee and everyone - > > I was wondering if candida or the healing process can cause changes in the menstrual cycle. I have always (for at least 5 years) had a short cycle, 23-24 days. All of sudden, it jumped to 29 days last cycle and now I'm at 32 days and no period yet. I am sure I am not pregnant and I don't know if I should be concerned about this. Is there any correlation? ==>Aren't normal cycles about 28 days, give or take? So 29+ days is would be an improvement. Yes, candida greatly affects your menstrual cycle because candida toxins interfere with hormones being produced by making all cell go rigid, also means hormones and nutrients cannot enter them where they are needed to do their job. This causes PMS and many other female problems. See " Hormones & Health " in the Women's Health Issues Folder. As you progress your cycle should normalize more and more, with some fluctuations due to re-tracing symptoms that occur during natural healing. Guest guest
I wrote about this last month. I had always had my cycles at 32-35 days, and all of a sudden I got one at 27 days. Then this month I got it at 30 days. I think it's because I've been losing weight and have a lot of estrogen circulating in my body. Luv, Debby San , CA --- " Anita P. Guest guest
I actually counted and mine from last period to one that started today and it iwas 37 days! Mine are going the other way - anything to be concerned about you think? They were always normal 28 before the last 2 or 3 cycles, increasing, and this one increased significantly. ~Anita Debby Padilla-Hudson <debbypadilla@...> wrote: I wrote about this last month. " Actually everything was fine until 3 months ago when I dropped to a 21 day cycle, then jumped to 29 days and now 30 something days. I have never had cramps or female issues related to my cycle ever so I figured a shorter cycle was normal for me. I guess I will just continue to wait this out. I am not very far along in Bee's program, so I didn't expect to have any major changes occur, but I guess this could be a temporary thing while we are in the healing process. Glad to know I'm not the only one! Trish
Guest guest
Well if you are losing weight and dumping estrogen from your fat cells and/or you have cells that are rigid and not accepting hormones it would make sense that you are having irratic menstrual cycles. I wouldn't worry about it, it is just a healing reaction and they should normalize later in the program. Luv, Debby San , CA --- " Anita P. After reading the " Hormones and Health " article, I am wondering if this has something to do with my thyroid more than anything, since I know I have issues there. I am definitely out of wack since prior to this I had a 21 day cycle and now a big jump. I will just wait it out as I progress through my healing. Guest guest
Trisha, I haven't had my period since Jan. I know I am not pregnant and I don't think it is menopause because this lapse coincides with my starting Bee's diet, so.... just some feedback. Guest guest
> I truly hope not! I am newly 35 and still hoping to have a child but this illness has set me back. ==>Hi Anita, I've had cycle fluctuations too and I'm 30. I skipped my period for three months during the worst die-off. From my reading, it's caused by your liver getting overloaded (the liver regulates hormones) and by the fact that candida mimics estrogen (like flax seed oil and soy too I think). It's also partially caused by the die-off toxin acetaldehyde. I took alpha lipoic acid (which is what they give alcoholics to support their liver during detox) for awhile, but I'm not sure that helped much. Mostly it's part of the healing. Plus I bet once your hormones get straightened out, you'll be able to get pregnant pretty easily. I have a theory that the body is protecting itself from getting pregnant because it couldn't deal with it. Anyway, I do think your body is on the right track--or at least mine seems to be, though I'm not yet on a regular cycle. Good luck! -Addie

I am 32 so I certainly never considered menopause. We're most likely done having kids so I'm not worried about it from that standpoint. I just want my body to be working properly! I am currently 10 days overdue, but I am beginning to realize that I may go several months without during this process. What's crazy is that I don't feel like I'm having bad die off right now as I am slowly implementing everything. I guess things could get a little more erratic when I step up the anti-fungals. Thanks for the info! Trish

Guest guest
Debbie, The ALA info came from Addie (to give due credit!). But Bee mentions we get enough by eating good meats anyhow. Thanks for clearing that up Anita. I will probably not get that supplement then unless I hear that it is suggested for something I could use help with. I'm having really good results with my OCD/anxiety adding B-vitamins per Bee's anxiety info and 5htp (an amino acid) as it was suggested on another site for OCD. I also need to remember to take my calcium. Luv, Debby San , CA 380/298/150 Website for my son Hunter Hudson, born 10/11/04: http://debbypadilla.0catch.com/hunter/ Today is the most important day.
