Guest guest
Dear Group, Has anyone taken ThreeLac? Have you had success with it, or any problems? I learned about it recently and looked up the ingredients as follows: Spore Forming Lactic Acid Bacteria (Lactobacillus Sporogenes), Lemon Juice Powder, Refined Yeast Powder, Castor Oil, Spore Forming Bacteria (Bacillus Subtills), Lactic Acid Bacteria (Streptococcus Faecalis) What I am concerned about is the Refined Yeast Powder in it. Many Candida sufferers are allergic to yeast. Is this yeast powder different or could there be a reaction to it in some people? What are your opinions? TIA, Bee
Guest guest
Dear Bee, I just discovered your group through a different candida group and I read your intro letters and I looked at many of your links. I'm so excited to have found you, because you seem to know a lot about candida and holistic health. I also like Mercola's site like you have in your links. How novel to see holistic health people tout dairy and beef! I just wish I could eat them again. I tested super- sensitve to both in my blood food sensitivity test. Argh! I was also excited to see you mention Threelac! It was recommended to me for my son who is on the Autistic spectrum by a DAN doctor (Defeat Autism Now). It seemed to have cured his yeast issues and rebalanced his bacteria. I just started taking it on April 18th for my chronic, seemingly incurable yeast problem. It's been at least 7 years of serious suffering, and more before that of bout of ill health, which I now see as more mild symptoms of the candida problem. Mine went over the top 7 yrs. ago after taking non-stop broad spectrum anti-biotics, one stronger than the previous, for months as my Ob/gyn tried to cure a vaginal abscess which turned out to be a fistula which finally got corrected with surgery. I'll keep this group posted about my progress with Threelac. I've once again resumed the caveman diet and had my die off. I'm feeling much better just from doing that. I also take Adderall in order to be able to function with energy and brain power. But every time I work hard to control the yeast, I am able to drastically reduce the Adderall. In Dec. I took 100mg Diflucan for 3 months, doing the diet for the 1st 2 months, but then doing what my doctor said, " eat a normal diet. " Well, I was soon eating chocolate and red wine every day! He had said that he had cured every patient so far by having them do Diflucan 3 mo. and eat a " normal diet. " So I'm his first failure I guess! My sister just found out she and her son have even higher yeast anti- body levels and antigen than me!!! And she refuses to do the yeast- free diet. She's pinning all her hopes on Threelac. Good luck! Check out this guy's site: http://www.candidafree.net/pages/1/index.htm He and his wife were cured with Threelac. Seems legitimate. Do you place much value in these blood " food sensitivity tests? " (US BioTek Labs, Standard Food Panel: IgG/IgE) My son and I also came up as 23 and 25 on the mercury blood test (EPA says max should be 5). Maybe that's why my candida won't go away. I also live in a 100 yr. old moldy house with water coming in the basement for the 8 yrs. we've been here. We didn't move because we couldn't afford another house in this super expensive town we're in. We stayed because the grade school here has the best special ed. program we have ever seen or heard of (so say all the therapists/experts around here too). Good new is, we move in a month down the street to a 9yr. old house finally!!!! We saved, sold high and bought low at just the right time. I feel like it was a gift from God. Thanks for all your great info!! > Dear Group, > > Has anyone taken ThreeLac? Have you had success with it, or any > problems? There are so many other things to use as antifungals that are far cheaper, that I went with them. Also, the results seem to be unpredictable from some things I've read. I tried Candex, which is not all that expensive, and had some results with it. I tried SF722, which is a bit more expensive, and had so-so results. So far the best things I've used are garlic (3 to 5 cloves a day, smashed or chewed up), grepefruit seed extract and oil of oregano. I never noticed anything at all with caprylic acid, good or bad. Oh - add coconut oil to the list. I've rotated all of these around, but started them a few months after I'd been on the diet alone. I think the diet itself will get rid of candida problems but it takes longer. Pau d'arco tea is a very mild antifungal but it seems to benefit a lot more things than candida problems. I've had a persistent cough and some other breathing problems go away after using it for some months; I don't seem to get headaches when I drink it regularly. Also, I've used it to help get rid of athlete's foot by soaking my feet in the grounds after I made the tea. Zack
