Guest guest
Hi I guess I was wondering why the coconut oil is necessary. I am starting on Threelac, oxygen elements, and LHB. I guess what I was trying to find out is, in addition to these three products, and having IBS, how would coconut oil and inulin help me. I am also taking fiber smart which containsf flax seed, borage seed, Guar gum,Fructogosachades, (FOS), probotic blend, fennel seed, marshmallow root, slippery elm bark, stvia, the probotic blen contains all the acidopholis (spelling?) and the other opholis. Can,t read the label very well.Fiber 3 grams per serving, contains no Psyllium. Lactobacillus acidophilus, and Bifidobacterium, L-Glutamine, essential oils, and . I think I migh have repeated some of the ingredients, but it gives you an idea what the fiber contains. Fiber Smart put out by Renew life seems to have the neccesary ingredients. I was wondering if coconut oil would be a good addition since I have IBS. I don,t want to overdue it, and the fewer products I have to take I think will be the key as to whether I am successful or not. How is coconut oil presented, and how do you take it. If it's not broken down as feed by bifidobacteria and lactobacilli, you'll still need the inulin to feed them. Here's how to treat irritable bowel, crohn's and colitis yourself (besides eliminating problem foods for awhile): Coconut oil (or lauricidin) contains fatty acids that kill lots of bacteria, many of which can cause or aggravate IBS and IBD; coconut oil is nown to reduce symptoms in days. Inulin feeds the good bacteria at the expense of the bad; restoring the bowel bacteria has been proposed to control Crohn's, UC, and IBS. Doing so can start to control symptoms in a week to a few weeks. Foods contain inulin; you can also buy it by itself. Cold-processed whey isolate plus selenium increases the antioxidant glutathione, which is severly depleted in Crohn's patients and can be completely absent at the injured site. A full antioxidant program is better that taking only one. Low glutathione is linked to many diseases. All of the above has been part of the research for years. Probiotics can also be helpful until correct bowel culture is restored. More information is on my website. There's a lot of research material there that proves out the valididty of using this approach. > > I am starting on the threelac program but I am reading a lot about > constipation. Guest guest
Hi Tari; Coconut oil is a very good health food; it should help to kill unwanted bacteria in the intestinal tract. It will also soothe the bowel lining. The coconut oil research is on my website. The other product you're on has guar gum and FOS in it. Both are bifidogenic, but there may be gas etc.. problems associated with the short chains of the FOS. Native inulin shouldn't produce those problems as much, and the long-chain inulin I have should rarely if ever produce gas and such side effects. When it comes to inulin dose is important; a good intake is about 15 grams per day. Your mix looks good; it has 3 grams per serving, so perhaps tripling your mix, and adding about 1.5 grams inulin per day would get inulin up to that therapeutic level. The inulin research is also on my website, probably more detailed than you really need but interesting nonetheless. Duncan Crow > > > Hi > > I guess I was wondering why the coconut oil is necessary.
