Guest guest
Hi , The ALA does not work that quickly except in vast amounts to make changes in you skin in one week. I would suspect it is a combination of your dietary changes, supplements, and cleanses. ALA may not cause a problem unless you have amalgam [mercury] fillings in your teeth - the silver ones. ALA can help leach mercury out of these fillings and transport it to your brain and organs where it does the dammage which may or may not be noticable until you get to a level your body can't handle. At this point you get sick. You should not take ALA at all ever if you have amalgam fillings. There are lots of other antioxidents that [although not as strong] work well and do not chelate mercury. If you do not have amalgam fillings it is a great supplement and may or may not aggrivate yeast depending on your individual chemistry and sulfur metabolism. The only way you would know is to experiment.
