Guest guest
I would go off of everything and then slowly introduce two or three things at a time-this would enable you to better see if it helps or not...also I always buy my summplements in the gel tab form or capsule-not tablet.....I have actually found tablets in my you-know-what!!!--so obviously I am not breaking some of them down! Liquid might be a good thing for you to take-or a powdered mix.......best of luck1 too many supplements? > hi all, i take alot of vitamins and herbs, and nothing seems to help, i > wonder if i'm taking too many things at once, also a lady at a health food > store said that since i'm mostly bed bound that i should take the liquid or > powder form instead of pills, since it will absorb better into the blood, > what do u all think? thanks, > Radha > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Special Offer-Earn 300 Points from MyPoints.com for trying @Backup > Get automatic protection and access to your important computer files. > Install today: > 1/2344/4/_/531724/_/957994463/ > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > This list is intended for patients to share personal experiences with each other, not to give medical advice. Guest guest
I'm not sure about that being too many supplements. It sounds safe to me, but I'm not a chemist. As far as weight loss, add flax seed oil to your diet. It's great on kamut or on brown rice... or cooked veggies. It's a very good fat with a lot of health benefits. Also, try increasing your caloric intake. Guest guest
Good advice. I would check with a naturopath or at a health shop about the supplements - it does sound like a lot. Many protocols have you take those herbs one at a time, on a rotational basis, rather than all at once. I lost too much weight on the diet, because I was also exercising at the same time. So I had to quit exercise, and add oils to my diet. I also increased my carbs (red skinned potatoes, wholemeal pasta etc) and it's good if you can yoghurt with lots of nuts and seeds. I've gained back the pounds that I wanted, but I also cheated on the diet sometimes in order to achieve this. For example I did things from Tripp's site, like eating toast, and melting cheese and eating it hot (on toast). I really didn't care at that point, as I was far too skinny and I almost didn't get a period that month - I felt that it was more important to gain back some weight than to stick too strictly to the diet. I also continued to work out with light weights, and this contributed to my weight gain. However I was really unhappy with the results on my shoulders - they got too big, so I had to cut down the weight training! Now I just tone my arms 2 or three times a week, and I leave the shoulders alone!!! Ali At 10:31 a.m. 12/12/2002 -0500, you wrote: >I'm not sure about that being too many supplements. Guest guest
Also, in my experience, the weight loss did taper off after my body adjusted to the diet. Like you, I lost about 10 pound VERY quickly and didn't have anything left to lose. I was terribly skinny for several months but 1.5 years later, I've put back on about 7 of those pounds while keeping my diet fairly clean. As long as you're eating your body will find it's optimal weight. Ann - new here but not new to candida! > I'm not sure about that being too many supplements. Guest guest
Thanks everyone for the input and advice. I might try rotating all the supplements - I had a feeling I might be overdoing it. I'm not really experiencing any die-off, though?? I, too, am new to this group and have found it very informative and helpful. Thanks a lot!
Guest guest
What diet is this that we're talking about that makes you loose weight too fast???? I want THAT diet!!! in CA
Guest guest
Well, , everybody's metabolism is different but as soon as I took ALL sugar, flour, wheat, and soy out of my diet I lost weight FAST! I was thin already, though, and I exercise daily. In my experience, however, doing a strict candida diet will help you shed any unnecessary pounds. I think I will concentrate on portion control now. I've got the diet down now and I do eat healthy, but I think I eat too much and I don't exercise any more so I need to start doing that. My daughter and I joined a gym so I have no excuse... ) in CA
Guest guest
Hey , don't worry too much about the portion control - as long as you're exercising, you'll be starting to burn fat. Weight loss should always be gradual, if you want it to be permanent. Ali >Thank you Ann!! I think I will concentrate on portion control now.
