I would go off of everything and then slowly introduce two or three things

at a time-this would enable you to better see if it helps or not...also I

always buy my summplements in the gel tab form or capsule-not tablet.....I

have actually found tablets in my you-know-what!!!--so obviously I am not

breaking some of them down! Liquid might be a good thing for you to take-or

a powdered mix.......best of luck1

too many supplements?

I'm not sure about that being too many supplements. It sounds safe to me,

but I'm not a chemist.

As far as weight loss, add flax seed oil to your diet. It's great on

kamut or on brown rice... or cooked veggies. It's a very good fat with a

lot of health benefits. Also, try increasing your caloric intake.

Good advice. I would check with a naturopath or at a health shop about the

supplements - it does sound like a lot. Many protocols have you take those

herbs one at a time, on a rotational basis, rather than all at once.

I lost too much weight on the diet, because I was also exercising at the

same time. So I had to quit exercise, and add oils to my diet. I also

increased my carbs (red skinned potatoes, wholemeal pasta etc) and it's

good if you can yoghurt with lots of nuts and seeds. I've gained back the

pounds that I wanted, but I also cheated on the diet sometimes in order to

achieve this. For example I did things from Tripp's site, like eating

toast, and melting cheese and eating it hot (on toast). I really didn't

care at that point, as I was far too skinny and I almost didn't get a

period that month - I felt that it was more important to gain back some

weight than to stick too strictly to the diet.

I also continued to work out with light weights, and this contributed to my

weight gain. However I was really unhappy with the results on my shoulders

- they got too big, so I had to cut down the weight training! Now I just

tone my arms 2 or three times a week, and I leave the shoulders alone!!!

Also, in my experience, the weight loss did taper off after my body

adjusted to the diet. Like you, I lost about 10 pound VERY quickly

and didn't have anything left to lose. I was terribly skinny for

several months but 1.5 years later, I've put back on about 7 of those

pounds while keeping my diet fairly clean. As long as you're eating

your body will find it's optimal weight.

Ann - new here but not new to candida!

Thanks everyone for the input and advice. I might try rotating all

the supplements - I had a feeling I might be overdoing it. I'm not

really experiencing any die-off, though?? I, too, am new to this

group and have found it very informative and helpful. Thanks a lot!

Well, , everybody's metabolism is different but as soon as I

took ALL sugar, flour, wheat, and soy out of my diet I lost weight

FAST! I was thin already, though, and I exercise daily. In my

experience, however, doing a strict candida diet will help you shed

any unnecessary pounds.

Thank you Ann!! I think I will concentrate on portion control now. I've got

the diet down now and I do eat healthy, but I think I eat too much and I don't

exercise any more so I need to start doing that. My daughter and I joined a gym

so I have no excuse... :o)

Hey , don't worry too much about the portion control - as long as

you're exercising, you'll be starting to burn fat. Weight loss should

always be gradual, if you want it to be permanent. :)
