Guest guest
Another big Poesnecker treatment is to give Baschetti's licorice to those who show low morning cortisol on their ASI test. Out of everything I've used licorice works, as unlike the ACE and Mil Aldrigen glandulars that I stopped taking recently, when I came off licorice my blood pressure got very low and it seemed to mess up my circadium rhythm so my sleep has not been as goo either. I will probably get back on the licorice in the near future as it seems to be the only thing I can tell works. When I stopped taking ACE I thought I would be exausted but I honestly couldn't tell any difference, and that's after over 6 months of use of it. I have to assume the ACE is not worth the money. I told a doctor about the ACE I was using and he tried it on some of his patients and said they couldn't tell any difference either. Whenever something cost a lot of money, if I can't DEFENITELY tell a difference I simply eliminate it, as it is not cost effective. Take NADH for instance: Poesnecker gave me a sample pack of it and I tried it but couldn't tell a difference. I was going through PubMed the other day (National Library of Medicine) and found a double blind study of NADH for CFS and it only worked for 33% of patients, so apparently I am not a 1/3 of the patients for whom it works so I am not wasting $1/day on it. I might try L-Carnitine though, as another double blind study showed it worked well for CFS patients. Only thing is I am wondering what thet difference b/t L-Carnitine and Aceytlcarnitine. Can anyone help me out with this one? I am ready to order some L-Carnitine and try it myself but if the other form is better then maybe I'll try that instead. Guest guest
Just as on American Baby/About.com, like Babycenter, I don't believe they read every post, I believe it is those who don't like the message, who badger the hosts to delete posts they don't like, as the posts of mine that were deleted, even those who read them, agreed they didn't understand why they were deleted. Scary. Message: 3 > Date: Fri, 8 Jun 2001 02:13:35 EDT > From: JILBAIT@... >Subject: Re: Fwd: Your Posting at BabyCenter > >wow they actually read every post? Guest guest
BobbyDigital, Funny how we all want to be something we are not. Taller, shorter, more attractive, smarter, more hair, less hair, blue eyes, green eyes, fatter, skinnier.....the list is never ending. We're never satisfied. You see, BobbyDigital, you must understand that there is no problem, there never was and never shall be. Your height is not a problem. We develop our own frustrations because we desire more instead of developing the capability and the capacity to enjoy less. Only a fool is happy when their cravings are satisfied. Be happy, only be happy without a reason, act happy, feel happy, be happy without a reason in the world then you can love. Even yourself. Unfortunately, we fall into moderation all the time. Moderation? It's fear and confusion in disguise. It's the Devil's reasonable deception. It's a wobbling compromise that makes no one happy. Moderation is for the bland apologetic few citizens of the world afraid to make a stand, it's for those afraid to laugh or cry, to live or die. Moderation is lukewarm tea, the Devil's own brew. Naked you came into the world, remember? Live for your own sake. The time to act is NOW. Terabithia

Guest guest
Someone on my nonnie list bought a good hand-crank grinder for under $100 . .. . $85 maybe? I think she found it through epinions.com. Folks have been using the flour grinders to make sweet potato flour and other vegetable flours, stuff that's not as readily available. Since as a nonnie I'm recommended ZERO to 3 servings of grain and ZERO to 3 servings of beans PER WEEK I basically don't incorporate either into my diet on a regular basis. Sometimes when I have more time to experiment I'm going to be dehydrating sweet potatoes and making muffins, etc . . . grain stuff that I miss. And there's an awesome sweet potato brownie recipe that folks have put together on my other list . . . :-D
Guest guest
Could you post the recipe here for the sweet potato brownies. I'm sure my kids would like it if I would make brownies for them again. It has been a couple of years since I've done that. I'm going to buy some sweet potato flour. First I'm going to look at the local oriental store and if I can't find it there I'm going to order some on the Internet. Guest guest
Dear MGBers, On May 31, I will celebrate my 4th Anniversary (2000) and I am still very pleased with the results. I am maintaining my weight at around 150 lb.---I started out at 260--- but I do work at it. I swim daily in my pool, weather permitting and in the winter months, I join an indoor exercise class. I will be 62 years old in Sept and feel great. I am most appreciative for this new life. I have had a tummy tuck, etc. last July and in January I had a thigh, arm and breast lift. I am very pleased with the new me. Thank you Dr. Rutledge, Francine in Alabama
