Guest guest
Thanks Debbie for the information on the oil at Needs... SF722 contains the fatty acid undecenoic Acid (chain length 10). It may be hard to find scientific details on SF722 -- the terms (Undecenoic bacterial) produce zero hits in Medline, but the terms (lauric bacterial) turn up 83. The science itself is sound. Using fatty acids to break bacterial and viral lipid coatings, and candida, works as well as antibiotics and antifungals if they can be delivered efficiently. In addition, they are non-toxic, and in fact are good for you. Fatty acids of various lengths can be used. Indications are assorted lengths between 8 and 14 may work the best, but lengths up to 16 are proven in the research (Medline). Dr, Kabara, who tested all of these extensively, confirms that lauric acid with chain length 12 taken orally is the most potent, i.e. it works well at a much lower dose. And it works on candida. To quote this candida study for example, http://aac.asm.org/cgi/content/full/45/11/3209?view=full & pmid=11600381 " In Vitro Killing of Candida albicans by Fatty Acids and Monoglycerides " , " Lauric acid, a 12-carbon saturated fatty acid, was the most active at lower concentrations and after a longer incubation time. " Virgin coconut oil is an MCT oil containing about: 6.5% capric acid, fatty acid chain length 8; 8% caprylic, length 10; 51.5% lauric, length 12; 17.6% myristic, length 14. It costs about $36.00 a quart for the purest and about $26 for traditional-grade coconut oil. http://members.shaw.ca/duncancrow/OilAnalysis.gif Duncan Crow > candidas. That alot of the curent antifungals may kill a few different > kinds of candida but not all. He said Form. SF722 has a fatty acid chain > of 10 so kills more kinds candida compared to capralic acid that has only > a fatty acid chain of 8. I do notice a significate more amount of die off > than from the olive leaf I was taking. Also in Dr. Sherry book > called " no more heart burn " she states that " formula sf722 is six times > stronger than capryalic acid " . I recommend this book she has a whole > chapter on candida and she recommends a list of candida products that she > has had success with in her practice.
