Guest guest
I was reading in a book today Alistair that if you cut out carbohydrates from your diet you can suffer from a deep depression. I certainly felt awful all year while on a strict diet. Now Im having carbos, bread, pasta and I feel much better. Probably not good for the candida though. Guest guest
My Chinese doctor performed EFT on me just once, but I did notice that I felt better. He did it for stress, and I definetly felt more relaxed. A rather strange procedure, but no pain. Also, sometimes it is the hardest thing to do when you don't feel good, but I have found that exercise helps me tremendously. I too, suffer from serious depression, but just finding that there may be a reason for it (Candidiasis) I have hope. I also take Celexa, a anti- depessive med which really helps. Good luck. Guest guest
Hi Alistair Did your depression began during the winter months? If so, you may have Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Here is a web site that will help explain this and offer you some benefits by using light therapy. http://www.ncpamd.com/seasonal.htm I learned I suffered from SAD in 1989 and since then I have learned how to stop it in its track before it eats me up. I have a shop light, you know, the type you can buy in Walmart for around $10.00. I hung the shop light over my bed because I like to read and do school work on my bed - it is important you get a few hours of light therapy every day to benefit. Then I bought two fluorescent tubes for the shoplight. Make sure the lights you buy are " FULL SPECTRUM " . This means it provides a full spectrum of color, almost like the real sun. You can do a search on the internet for SAD and come up with many sites willing to sell you their lamps that may be well into the hundreds but I learned a $20.00 creation works just as well. Also, are you taking any B-complex? Especially B6? Check out this web site for information on overcoming depression with B-complex. http://www.wholehealthdiscountcenter.com/vb/ Lilly " almr.rm " wrote: > > I have tried st. johns wort ... Guest guest
EFT is an emotional form of acupuncture except that no needles are used. Instead, they tap with the fingertips to stimulate certain meridian points while you are " tuned in " to the problem. They are still learning why EFT (and its many cousins) work so well. The existing theory is that " the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system. " EFT has been proven clinically effective (over 80%) for Trauma, Abuse, Stress, Anxiety, Fears, Phobias, Depression, Grief, Addictive Cravings, Children's Issues and hundreds of physical symptoms including headaches, body pains and breathing difficulties. I find this to be very interesting. --- dianatrudeau@... wrote: > What is EFT? Guest guest
I've tried St. 's Worts in combination with 5-HTP or Kava Kava and both worked well. I've also tried Super 1A from my naturopath. It is a neurotransmitter support supplement and has many amino acids, 5-HTP, etc. in it. It is said to work well for many with depression, but I didn't have that great of results with it because it didn't do much for my anxiety, which was just as debilitating as the depression. Taking Enzymatic Therapy's multi-vitamin for Women helped immensely. However, the only thing that has helped me the most with depression and anxiety has been my chronic fatigue treatment. Chronic fatigue and candida are very much related - one can cause the other and create an endless cycle downhill. You may want to get tested for that. I have been following the treatment of Dr. Poesnecker. You can check out his website at: www.chronicfatigue.org He's very good and very knowledgeable....also a non-profit, naturopathic doctor/chiropractor, his treatments are relatively inexpensive. He's willing to work with you over the phone or e- mail. He believes in treating candida with CFS and can help you with both if you have it. The initial test he uses is a Saliva Test to tell you if you have CFS and what stage you're in. The lab analysis costs $99 and that has been the most expensive part of the treatment so far. Otherwise, I spend between $25 and $50/mo. on the supplements. I've only been taking them for about 6 weeks, but I feel SOOO much better already. Let me know if you want more info. > This is my main symptom ... its the one I cant shake and its by fast > the one that is the most debilitating. > > I have tried so many things .. and even though it has gotten slightly > better...
