I developed FMS right after having a hysterectomy.I tend to lean towards the theory of a hormonal link between the fibromyalgia and the endocrine system, and of course, the candida.(that goes without saying) I also find that the fibro symptoms seemed to be triggered by the trauma of the surgery itself, along with the drastic, sudden drop in hormone production, immediately following the BSO. The endocrine system has been shocked. My research has taught me so much already, and I enjoy reading medical literature, anyway,it is basically all I read, since I have such an interest in medicine.Mainly,in OB/GYN and psychiatry. I know I would love being in the medical field.I have saved your page, along with my other treasures in my Candida/Yeast folder. It is so wonderful to talk with someone who is knowledgable in Medicine. There are alot of people that kind of shy away from it.I found, too that hypothyroidism can cause fibro-like pains. My folder for fibro is huge.I have gotten quite a bit of relief already, ever since I started taking Flaxseed oil,Ginger Root, and Siberian Ginseng. These supplements have helped me with those awful deep-pounding pains that I used to get at night, when I was " trying " to sleep.I have restless-leg syndrome, too and that doesn't help matters. I also have arthritis. The fibro pain I have currently,is a burning,,,,constantly moving pain.I have it most of the day. I get very stiff, too and I get alot of brain fog. (I just realized, this is turning into a novel!) Guest guest
Melody, How right you are!!!! Yes,,the antibiotic was administered, during and after the surgery. Antibiotics cause alot of fungal infections.I even was " lucky " enough to develop a bacterial infection, after the surgery and I had to take Flagyl. (oh,such fun!!).The things we women go through!!! Its what they give intraveniously when a woman goes into preterm labor. It stops the uterus from contracting.(It is a muscle, you know).
