Guest guest
I used primal defense long time ago for a couple of weeks and it did not work for me personally. I'm trying out threelac right now and using hydroxygen at the same time and so far I'm not sure if it was a coinsidence but I barely notice my symptoms these last few days. I'm on and off with the diet, it's hard to resist the goodies. Regarding threelac I'm not quite sure if it contains the same bacterias as primal defense but I've read something about threelac's probiotics have greater chances of surviving in our system to work on candida. I'm not sure where I read this but it could be somewhere in the old emails. Anyway that's my feedback hope it helps. mamahojee <mamahojee@...> wrote:Today is my first day of starting the yeast free diet, I tried it once before but wasn't able to stick w/it. My symptoms all started 5 years ago w/a bacterial infection which I took antibiotics for, my vaginal burning would go away and then come back and I took antibiotics again, and again and.....I probably took them 10-12 times in the first few yrs of my problem, not to mention the countless times as a child for recurring ear infections. My vaginal burning is my main complaint as I am unable to have intercourse w/my husband(3 yrs and counting). A few years ago we could have intercourse at certain times during my cycle(my pain fluctuates as my hormones do)but it has gradually gotten worse. Dr's just say " You must have an infection that we are not seeing, here take this antibiotic " Gee no thanks, thats how I got here in the first place! I have unexplained pains in different areas of my abdomen. The drained feeling that will not go away. When I eat sugary foods, I have noticed lately that I actually get a rage-like feeling like I'll snap at the drop of a pin. I just want a normal life again, I want to be able to stop spending the thousands of dollars on trying to save my sanity, my marriage, my health. Guest guest
Good luck Kim! I can relate to your situation. I'm on my third attempt at the diet, and this time I've been most determined. I've gone sugar and yeast free for two months now. I still have yeast, which is frustrating. But, I try to keep positive and remind myself that I won't be cured over night. I'm very dedicated to get rid of the excess yeast this time, because my husband and I realized how this problem has really taken a tole on our sex life. I've also experienced vaginal burning since before we were married (almost 3 years now) that at times got so intense that we couldn't have intercourse. I've ordered some Fungal Defense (from the Primal Defense line), and I'm waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I'll tell you how it goes. Keep us updated as to how you do on Primal Defense. I'm curious. All the best, > Today is my first day of starting the yeast free diet, I tried it > once before but wasn't able to stick w/it. Guest guest
I also loved Primal Defense. Actually, a love/hate relationship. The die off was so bad, I'd have to stop and rest, and restart. I jumped in with both feet, bought 8 bottles. It beat the crap out of me, but was worth it. I had an awful rash around my eyes that nothing would take away. It took almost a year, but I firmly believe Primal Defense helped me beat that rash. I've been slipping though, and should start again. I have severe depression that I believe is linked to candida. Back hurts like crazy, for no reason, lots of little things that add up to a miserable life. RE: primal defense/yeast free diet I take Primal Defense and love it. Guest guest
I also have sever depression. The only thing that I have been able to do to combat it is take antidepressants. My hope is eventually to battle the candida and get off the antidepressants. Right now they are the only thing that helps keep me normal. Guest guest
haven't found an antidepressant I can handle. the cure is worse than the ailment, and believe me, the ailment is bad. sometimes, I just sit and cry, for hours on end. hard to find a reason to get up in the morning, but I still struggle on. Guest guest
Diane, I have been dealing with depression for the past three years. I started the SCD diet and this has been the easiest winter so far. It is amazing how much it helped and the diet has been easier for me to stay on. I noticed results in a few weeks. Go to the website breakingtheviciouscycle.com and check it out. The book is called Breaking the Vicious Cycle by ELaine Gottschall and it has guidelines and recipes. Good Luck. Remember to stay in touch with others. It is so hard to do when you are depressed but it will keep you afloat!! RE: primal defense/yeast free diet I take Primal Defense and love it. Guest guest
interesting web site. I'll give it a good going over on the weekend. Will be travelling for a week after that, but then, might be something to work towards. I always make my own yogurt, and let it forment extra long, as they recommend. Got out of the habit of eating yogurt for a while. Will get back at it though. RE: primal defense/yeast free diet I take Primal Defense and love it. I don't think it was a waste of money. Guest guest
mmm I remember now. I don't think it's available to us in Canada. You know, it doesn't profit the drug manufacturers if you can get well naturally. I'm not sure if it is one of the things that can come across the border, if I purchased it online.
