Yes, I do have a hard time with my brain sometimes, too. Some days things

are SO clear and others it's foggy. It's like you said, I go to do

something, get distracted so easily or just totally forget what I went

somewhere to do something for !! I'm only 32 and this whole thing was SUCH a

shock and eye opener for me. I tell everyone I know about it. I figure, if I

can help save someone else from getting worse years down the line (because

they didn't know they had it and some idiot doctors tell them it's all in

their head) it can help them tremendously. I just wish more doctors were

aware of it and studied it. Eventually they will have to, it's just he

matter of time.

I have two little kids and sometimes I am so happy and cheerful with them

and the next minute I can have such a mood swing I just get upset at every

little annoyance of theirs. This is such a hard thing to cope with. On the

better side, I was 137 and now 117 and I'm only 5'3 " so I'm feeling really

good about myself and my body and went and got new jeans for the fall and

some clearance summer stuff so that's one benefit, but I'd rather have my

mind back...

I also get to the point where I get so tired of eating the bland, same stuff

that I just can't get motivated to cook. I'm tired of researching new

recipes and tired of all this that some days I just don't bother thinking

about supper until it's too late. Then I'm aggravated because I didn't make

anything wonderful to eat for my husband and kids, just the same boring meat

and vegatables or fish and veggies.

Oh, well, I might just be having a bad day. Hey, I should be thrilled, at

least I'm alive and didn't know anyone that fell victim to Sept. 11th

tragedies but nonetheless, they are all on my mind today and in my prayers.

Well, I'll quit babbling now. Thank God we all have each other.

Sandy

I thought that I would share with you what happened at Dr. Galland yesterday.

First it was so amazing having someone actually listening and believing me! He

thought that the other Dr.'s were idiots too (not in so many words) He did a

skin test to see if I'm allergic to candida (came out positive) and then he

ordered all kinds of blood, urine and stool tests. Then, he told me about his

diet and gave me supplements to try. I could have cried, for the first time I

feel like I'm in good hands!

stool test is from the Parasitology Center

The urine test is from metaMetrix Clinical Lab

the supplements are: AbsorbAid from Nature's Sources and it's basically enzymes,

VSL #3 (very potent probiotic), Dysbioplex FNG which is an egg powder for the

immune system and ProGreens powder. I mix it all together with some fresh carrot

juice and drink twice a day!

He was a small fortune (no vacation this year) but I don't care!

Just thought I'd share.

Lynn,

Where did you get your supplements from?

What can I expect to pay to go to a Dr. like this? You said a small fortune?

Diane,

Yes. He is on the upper East Side. Your friend can e-mail me if he has any

questions.

Didn;t know your elbow was involved. I had a doc who wanted to move the

ulnar nerve to help that problem. I tried his brace for the thing but turned

him down on the surgery. I know that many ppl are helped with that surgery

but I just don't seem to do well with surgery so I didn't go that route. I

hope you find relief with the new doc and treatments to follow.
